Laietana Palace, Barcelona

Staying at this hotel is a pleasure, the service is friendly, prompt and very good. It is in a brilliant location, easy walking distance to the beach and port (around 10-15 minutes depending on your pace).
The room was really nice, with large windows with a lovely view and a good bathroom (must say i enjoyed their shower very much!). It was very clean when we arrived and each day when we returned it was wonderfully clean. This is a hotel ...

The rooms all have tv (with many programs in a variety of languages including English), air con, phone, a socket for your pc -for internet access i presume (i did not use it!), a fridge which was well stocked and even guide books about the area in a drawer!

This is a hotel that takes pride in itself which is definately a bonus and makes your holiday or business trip just that bit better. Something i find important when i am away is how comfortable is the bed?! Well this hotel did not let me down on that front, i slept well each night and although each person has a different opinion on what makes a comfortable bed i think most people would be happy.
We only had breakfast there each day, choosing to eat out in the day in one of the many many restaurants and cafes, but their dining hall is very well looked after, clean and with a large choice to eat(i am vegatarian and i was happy). I would mention though that to get the best selection of choices you should go down earlier rather than later.
This is a hotel i would definately recommend to anyone looking to visit Barcelona if what you want is a huge variety of things to do and places to see. It is in an ideal location, and from here you can easily visit tourist spots such as Gaudis cathedral and Parc Guell, and many others. It is not far from the airport either, around a 20 minute drive so you will not have the dreaded trek that seems to take days before you can start enjoying Barcelona. There is so, many things to do while you stay here, walking along and discovering your nearby environment is very highly recommended by me, i was there only a week (although i am going back soon, and quite possibly to the same hotel) but you find a new place every single time you step out.
