We have been owners on Lakeland Caravan Park for 10 years Things have really gone to pot this season with facilities for owners beeing totally neglected. The site advertise sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. There has been problems with all of these this season. The final straw was being told that a few weeks before the season had ended that they would not be repaired as they had run out of budget. Another problem is the street lighting, can we please have some. We also now seem to be living on a farm with rather large bullocks roaming wild and completely destroying the grounds. My wife and other lady owners inform me that toilet facilities in the club are filthy with doors missing. At the end of the season we have always had a New Years Party, this is the first time that nothing has been arranged and the site never even informed us of this. We have tried to inform the General Manager of our complaints but get constantly told that he was in meetings. We have also informed head office complaints department to be told that someone would get back to us.We are still wating. Dont buy a caravan on this park until it gets its act together. I will let you know next season if any improvements have been made.Lakeland is situated approx 20 mins drive from Jct 36 of the M6 motorway. It is approx 10mins drive from Grange over Sands and approx 25-30 mins drive from Lake Windemere The caravan site is not too easy to get to via public transport, therefore I would suggest that you will require a car. The caravan site is not open throughout the year.

If they accept camping from outsiders too maybe you could write to the caravan club and warn them how bad the site has gotten. That would lose them loads of business. Fionaxx

This sounds like a company that is losing the plot - could be they are about to sell up or go out of business?
