Gabon is located on the Atlantique coast, frontier with Guinea
Equatoriale, Cameroun and Congo. Although this country is under the
equator, heat (35° in February and 27° in July-August) is bearable
thanks to its proximity with the ocean.
Rich country thanks to its
significant natural resources (oil, uranium, manganese, gold,
diamond), one meets there many businessmen European, Lebanese or
American and very few tourists.
While moving away from the Libreville
capital, one can discover the equatorial forest in all his splendour
and breathe an absolutely pure air there.
Let us not forget
Lambaréné where professor Albert Schweitzer lived and finished his

The river bank has been widened last year by the use of Gabon's, this process is done by driving willow stakes into the river bed and weaving willow strips into these stakes, and then back filling with local rocks and earth, the finished effect adds about a meter to the garden, and for the fisherman it makes fishing the 450ft river frontage much easier.
The garden has mainly traditional cottage garden beds which are alive with butterflies (I counted 9 different species) a fruiting plum and cherry tree.
There are 3 wooden seats and reclining garden chairs to sit on, the only problem is trying to find a shady spot as the sun is on the garden all day.
The next surprise is the Summerhouse, which is hidden behind a large clump ...
