Not my garden of Eden!

Advantages: Clean and New
Disadvantages: Not a great mix of stores.

. Many years ago I used to work in High Wycombe and eventually I realised that they had retained part of the old Octagon centre and attached the new centre to it. This has left one end looking a bit dark and drab and this part could have done with a major facelift. The newer end is very light, it is partially covered over with a very high roof. This means that you don?t get soaked if it is raining but it is still very cold if you go on a windy day, it seems to act like a wind tunnel! Due to the opening of this centre I have noticed that the rest of Wycombe is looking very sad, lots of shops have closed and some relocated into the new centre, there used to be a large Woolworth in the High Street but obviously that has also gone to the town is a bit like a ghost town. The only busy section is by the old M&S store which is now a Primark so ...

A great conference venue but not ideal as a hotel

Advantages: Good rooms, well organised conference facilities
Disadvantages: If you aren't there for a conference, you could feel very 'left out'.

of natural light and didn't get too stuffy although the temperature control at times was somewhat erratic. Coffee breaks were quite well organised with 3 or 4 coffee dispensers set up in the corridor and plenty of seating for those who wanted it. We were well supplied with cookies and cakes which - considering we're an association that deals with confectionery and sweet bakery products - was quite brave of the organisers. Lunch was served in the restaurant and was a hot and cold buffet. There were no complaints about the amount or quality of the food although the layout was a bit confusing. You started at the end with the puddings and made your way towards the starters - a sort of 'living your life backwards' system. The conference dinner was served in a large meeting room and the service was exceptional. We have a very complicated quiz ...

Manson does it again on "High End Of Low"

Advantages: another album for the collection, He's over the sad love songs.
Disadvantages: Not much on my side.

Manson does it again on ?high End Of Low?. His brilliantness to phrase and place words still ceases to amaze me. It has little thing similar to the original and I?m not talking ?Antichrist Superstar? (for you people who thought that was the beginning) I?m talking ?Portrait Of An American Family? and the spooky kids. In my opinion he goes back to the old school with guitar for sound instead of electronic. The album is surprisingly good, all for a few songs like, ?Running To The Edge Of The World?, Acoustic songs are good from Marilyn Manson but not love songs. Don?t quite feel it. ?Into The Fire?, feel the same way. And ?Pretty As A Swastika? wasn?t quite feeling either didn?t quite understand the lyrics. All and all its still a good album most all the songs were great. ?Four-Rusted Horses? interesting song love the county sound ...
