Lanzarote

Advantages: A fantastic holiday for people of all ages
Disadvantages: None at all - i love the place!!

...'credit crunch' style budget then Lanzarote may be the one for you! I have visited Lanzarote twice, once as a child and once in October last year and have fallen in love with the place. We stayed in Playa De Los Pocilos which is a small quiet town just outside the main capital of Puerto Del Carmen which is the place to visit if you are after a more lively holiday. Towns such as Costa Tequise, Playa Blanca and Playa De Los Pocillos are for the more ...
...minutes. You cant visit Lanzarote and not possibly go on a camel ride, its a must!! Spitting is a slight problem from the camels but its all very safe and well organised. The camels getting up and back down again make for an interesting ride! The rides are located near Timanfaya National Park and are pretty good value for money. Each camel takes two people - both of which have to be around the same weight as you sit on chairs either side of the ...

Lanzarote is the perfect family destination

Advantages: Stunning views, lovely locals, fab weather, lots of fun
Disadvantages: 11 nights wasn't long enough!

Having not long returned from 11 nightsin Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, we are already planning our holiday there next yr! Myself, my husband and 6yr old son had a fantastic time. We toured the entire island finding beautiful little coves and lagoons to swim in ( some of them u would think u were in the carribean). So much to explore for such a small island. Timanfaya National Park which has the islands only active volcano and miles and miles of volcano ...
...in costa teguise, i could go on.. Weather was fab, upto 40 degrees but with a lovely breeze to keep u feeling fresh. The locals were lovely, we visited a beautiful restaurant in Puerto Del Carmen twice and the lovely waiter rememberred us! He was full of knowledge about the island and couldn't do enough to make our visit to the restaurant perfect. Our appartment in Costa Teguise - the ficus appts were very good for families, very clean and friendly. ...

Lanzarote a place well worth a visit

Advantages: its relaxing, always good weather, very friendly
Disadvantages: Alot of hills but a taxi is only about €3 everywhere you go

One of the most beatiful Isalnds that their is. An island which rose from the sea through volcanic eruptions over many thousand years. The Timafaya as its called the place where you can go and have a guided tour and tells you all the history about the island is a must do. There is places like famara where you can go for surfing lessons or kite surfing and many more things or maybe go for a swim. Rancho Texas is a place for the whole family which ...
...shows on with the animals doing different tricks. They also have a night time show which is family orientated with lion dancing a band and lots of fun. Puerto Del Carmen is a must visit there are to parts to it which are known as the old town and the new town. During the day probably better to stick with the new town but night time the old town has a much more welcoming entertainment bars such as The Rare Auld Times where the famous Dublin City ...

I love Lanzarote! ...Fact!

Advantages: Great weather, great scenery, all round great holiday!
Disadvantages: None!

...owned a time share in Lanzarote for as long as I can remember. Up until I was around 16 I visited at least once a year. I class it as my second home! I haven't been for a few years now but I'm going for a week in April and I can't wait. Some people might have put off a holiday to Lanzarote by thinking it is dare I say it..a 'chavy' holiday destination. This is mainly due to the likes of Stacey Slater (Eastenders) holidaying there! I can happily ...
...I would not recommend Lanzarote for people wanting a lively, clubbing holiday (Tenerife would be the better island for that). Nor would I recommend it for thrill seekers or people wanting an adventure type holiday. I would deffinatley recommend it to familes, people wanting a relaxing holiday and people who enjoy discovering new things. Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands and is situated 79 miles off the coast of Africa. Even though the islands ...

lanzarote

Advantages: hot,adventureous&relaxing
Disadvantages: if you don't like heat-the heat

Lanzrote was an amazing experience for the whole family. During the day, you can kick back relax and enjoy both the beauty and climate of the island. The culture is very spanish indeed however there were very enlish parts to the place with english bars, clubs and restaurants. At night there was a wide selection of places to dine, take your partner or even to take the kids. It welcomed children warmly. Fo those looking for more of an adventureous ...
...my holiday, my familly treated me and my sister to a trip to the volcanoe, We went by coach along with others from our hotel. The coach drove up the volcanoe along narrow steep paths. Full trust had to be put into the driver who we didnt know at the time was fully trained to drive up these. It was amazing looking out at all the shapes in the rock. When we reached the top a tour guide showed us round and made us touch the ground beneath us which was ...
