Santa Rosa - the perfect place to relax

Advantages: Warm, sunny, no insects, great local restaurants
Disadvantages: hotel food - apparently

Review of Hotel Santa Rosa, Costa Teguise The country - and the weather!! Firstly, to set the scene i'll give a short introduction to the country, and of course, more importantly, the weather!.....Lanzarote is one of the hugely popular canary islands, and one of my favourite holiday destinations. Although part of Spain, Lanzarote sits close to the North of Africa and because of this, benefits from the heat of the mainland. Having said ...
...The Hotel Onto the hotel....the Santa Rosa hotel is relatively new, having only been open around 3-4 years and its extremely well kept. I first stayed at the hotel in 2006 and visited again in 2007 and i'm pleased to say the standards of cleanliness and hygiene were maintained throughout. The hotel has 2 sections to it, one public section where anyone can book and stay and use the facilities, and a second section, exclusively for the use of ...

Excellent holiday, location, atmosphere - highly recommended

Advantages: The space, decor, view, service, location ... everything!
Disadvantages: price of drinks at the hotel bar

...British guests staying at the Occidental when we stayed and this was ideal for us. There were mainly German guests there the first few days of our stay (end of June) and they soon disappeared at the beginning of July and they were replaced by Spanish guests. This was fantastic as, unlike most British holiday makers, they were unselfish, polite and relatively quiet! The hotel staff, although they speak good English, really appreciate any communication ...
...this is outstanding. This is not to say that if you don't speak any Spanish then you will have appauling service - far from it - however, there was a noticable upgrade in service we received after speaking the native language. There were a limited amount of all inclusive drinks/cocktails that were included in this option and the guests that were not all inclusive had commented on the price of the alcoholic drinks. The hotel itself is not far from ...

Nice apartments close to all the amenties of Playa Blanca

Advantages: Nice apartments; quiet location
Disadvantages: Poor bar.

We have stayed at the Sun Beach apartments 5 times now so that fact alone shows our endorsement. There are located a 6 walk to the sandy beach and long promenade and 13 minutes to the town centre. The apartments are well equipped but the fridge need need replacing.Very comfortable and spacious with a nice bathroom. Two swimming pools and some low key organised activities if you wish to join in. There is a restaurant but in our opinion you are best ...

What a beauty of a hotel

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: nothing

I went to this hotel last december with partner and little boy aged one at the time. What can I say, what a beauty of a hotel. Everything about it was perfect. Its a 4 star hotel and rightly so. Arriving at the hotel we could tell we were a little out of the way but the exterior looked beautiful. As we entered the reception area I knew we were going to have an amazing time. The interior was breathtaking. Very high standard. Quality furnishings. ...
...and were brought to your room shortly after you got to your rooms. Reception staff checked us in quickly, but I never felt rushed they were friendly, polite and professional at all times. In fact all staff were, never had any issues with anyone. A map was given to us as the hotel is huge, but you soon get used to it. BEDROOMS. Out of this world. The rooms are large in size, bed is huge and comfy, high standard, quality furnishings, mini bar, and ...

March holiday

Advantages: Pool, big apartments
Disadvantages: Huge hill

We went in march 2008 lovely and clean apartments, food at the pool was good, restaurant was not open, staff very friendly and helpful, but i must warn you about a huge hill you have to walk up and down to get to the seafront, but taxi only costs a couple of quid. The pool is freezing but i expect in august time it would be warmer. We were a family of 2 adults and two ten yr olds, but i think it would be great for young couples too. loads of nightlife ...
