It is slightly further out just opposite the Castle Bill Bill and when you cross the road it’s a flat walk all the way to the marina which is away from the large hills on which many of the other hotels are located.
Reception On arrival check in was swift and at this time we opted to pay for a safety deposit box we were then handed the safe key and card key to room 524 and pointed in the direction of the lifts. On looking round reception it was laid out with tables and chairs and also had a grand piano, a small bar ,toilets and computers with internet access. There is a large board telling you about entertainment available during the day and at night. The whole area was laid out for wheelchair access and the ramps came in handy for the able bodied who had luggage it was certainly the most disabled friendly hotel I had ever stayed in. There were three lifts that serviced the six floors and though they were small you never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for one. There was a luggage room for late departures,
Room The room was your usual Spanish hotel room with twin beds with nice yellow and blue covers with curtains to match and bedside tables with drawers and shelves which had the phone on one. The wardrobes had mirror doors and lots of shelf and hanging space and this is where the safety deposit box was. Other furniture consisted of a chair and a vanity unit that had drawers and on this the television sat there was also a cupboard that housed the fridge and a nice touch was a complimentary bottle of water on arrival. There was also a luggage rack and a coat rack and sliding doors out to a balcony which had two chairs and a table as well as a side sea view. The room was had air conditioning which along with the tiled floor kept it lovely and cool.
Bathroom Had a bath, sink, bidet and toilet all in white with a shower also. There were loads of white towels which were changed daily and free toiletries includes soap, bath gel, shampoo and tissues. There was a hairdryer ,a large mirror as well as a bin.
Dining Room The dining room was accessed from the reception area and was light and airy and tables laid out with white linen. It was a buffet and the food was out of this world the choice was magnificent and everyone was amazed at the quality. I have been on cruise ships that did not have as good a choice. The opening line to most conversations was isn’t the food wonderful in this hotel enough said I think you get the picture. Waiters served drinks to your table and these were paid for in the small bar in reception on leaving the restaurant. Its in no smoking.
Swimming Pool The swimming pool was located on the first floor which was a bit of a surprise considering the hotel is so disabled friendly however on inquiring there was a lift for wheelchair users at the far end of the lounge. There was also a children’s pool a sun deck with loungers as well as a water feature with a fountain and a bridge over it. There is a table tennis table and darts.
Lounge and Bar This is really all one area and the entertainment area has a stage, a dance floor and loads of seating. The bar area at the other end has tables and chairs and a television which had football on while we were there. The bar is smoking but the lounge is non smoking. There is a pool table at the end of the lounge. The bar has tables inside and outside and food can be bought during the day as well as ice cream from the fantastic ice cream bar.
Outside the hotel entrance is a lovely seating area with tables and chairs and was a great meeting place. The car park was underground and entrance controlled by reception. My overall impression is I thought this hotel was fantastic all the staff were friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend it.
