Las Isletas (Nicaragua)

Advantages: 335 days of sunshine.
Disadvantages: Very little options re. package holiday resorts

...- delicious! La Isleta is a small fishing village to the east of San Jose. The beach is small, sandy and very quiet. The village has a few bars and a couple of restaurants. Las Negras is another small fishing village with a good beach. Similar to La Isleta, but it has more of a traditional Spanish village feel about it, with little modern development. Agua Amarga, between Las Negras and Carboneras, has, I am told, a very good beach with some facilities. I have not been there yet, so would welcome any feedback should you try it out. Advantages: Location is fantastic, escape from the madness and then dive back in....
Disadvantages: Nothing its brill!

...A gorgeous luxurious hotel set in Las Vegas, we decided to stay here so we could get away from the chaos and madness of the casion hotels and it was fantastic, The views of the strip were amazing, with floor to ceiling windows, fantastic quality furnishings including really plush bathroom and the linin was incredible i wanted to take it home with me, real coffee machine with starbucks in your room! This place is a haven to escape, only a minute walk to the monorail station you can get around Las Vegas quickly and cheaply and its fun!! The pool area was small but very nice and cosy and they had a live jazz band on every Sunday, we would not hesitate to go back!!... Read review

..., is the feeling that the ancient Maya culture must have been very mystic. I personally believe we cannot appreciate today what it was since no meaningful remain of it is left. The descendents of the maya people we find in the villages in Honduras, Nicaragua or Belize, are, in my view, the sad consequence of the colonization of this continent.... Read review
