House Hunt of the Rich and Famous!

Advantages: not expensive and got to see lots
Disadvantages: none really - maybe could of had a longer tour

Beverly Hills/Stars Homes Deluxe Tour - Hollywood Fantasy Tours **HOLLYWOOD FANTASY TOURS** This tour company is small but personal. They take you to the stars homes in what they call 'Starvans'. It is like a small van in which about roughly 10 people could fit in. They have no roof as it is open top so I do recommend that you bring sun cream or put lots on before you start the trip. The tour costs $35 for an adult and $26 for a child. At the present ...
...Kingdom pounds. There is savings to be made if you book more than one tour. It says on the leaflet that booking is recommended but we had no problem getting onto the tour but maybe March is a quieter season. It lasts 2 hours and you will see homes of more than 70 stars. This tour company doesn't pick you up. You will have to make your own way to their offices. You then start the tour from their offices which are situated on 6231 Hollywood Blvd at ...

I do...ONE MORE TIME!

Advantages: Pretty, intimate, chapel with helpful, polite staff; cheap
Disadvantages: Location; poor in-house photos

...One such chapel is the Graceland chapel, built in the early fifties. We chose it after browsing through various websites, mainly because it was one of the prettiest chapels, resembling a New England church, and because it offered a relatively inexpensive package that included being picked up and returned to our hotel by limousine. We also liked the fact that it was a stand-alone chapel, not one attached to one of the newer hotels. It looked small ...
...which covered the use of the chapel, a buttonhole, a rose for the "bride", music, a few photos, a certificate and the limo. I have checked the latest prices on their website, www.gracelandchapel.com, and this package is currently priced at $199 plus sales tax (about 7%). On top of this, there was a fee to be paid direct to the minister ($50) and a tip for the limo driver. If you were getting married, as opposed to renewing your vows, you would also ...

Why Stripping Is So Tiring!!!

Advantages: Lots to see and do without spending too much cash.
Disadvantages: The heat and crowds made it tiring.

***Background*** Las Vegas wasn't really top of our list when planning our honeymoon, as neither my hubby nor I are gamblers. Other places we wanted to visit though meant that this glitzy town was on the way and we felt we had to take it in for a couple of days so decided to book into The Mirage, which is quite a luxurious hotel right in the middle of The Strip. I've already done a review on it and the Secret Garden within it so I'm going to concentrate ...
...2 mile section of Las Vegas Boulevard that is commonly shown on shows such as the original CSI, in what I call The Strip Experience. ***Hotels*** There are lots of hotels along this area that catch the eye, as the lights go on. We managed to have a look in a lot of them, spread over two nights but to be honest, once you get past the faįade of the theme, they are all much the same. Obviously there are various levels of luxury within them but they ...

Shhh - Our Honeymoon Secret Revealed!!!

Advantages: Gave us rare sights of animals in trouble throughout the world
Disadvantages: None

***Background*** The Secret Garden can be found tucked away in an area of The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, which is situated about halfway along the Las Vegas Boulevard section that is commonly known as The Strip. Siegfried & Roy are most famous for being spectacular magicians, who take part in illusions that no one else has done before. They have used a lot of big cats in their shows in the past and seem to have a genuine love to protect and set ...
...since they first performed at the Tropicana in their Las Vegas debut, way back in 1967 and have now performed in many of the big and well-known hotels in this spectacular city. They were first introduced to white tigers back in 1982 when the Maharajah of Boroda asked them to help to bring the plight of these magnificent animals to the world's attention. As a gift he gave them cubs to help set up a breeding plan and save these endangered animals ...

Visual entertainment at its best

Advantages: The stage, set and stunts
Disadvantages: none

Well this was my first Cirque du Soleil show - and I went with no preconceptions about it, and was pleasantly surprised. I went begining of last year with my seven year old daughter at the time and paid about $100 a seat - got a discount :) We were sat 2nd row and just right of centre - perfect!!! Walked through MGM and saw a couple of elaborately dressed entertainers which got us hyped up for the show, and you queue near the shop so it gives you ...
...grabbed some drinks and went in -not what I was expecting at all!! It was amazing! We walked into the big theatre which was taylor made for the show and very impressive, found our seats (good leg room and very comfy). But what I wasn't expecting was the stage - as there wasn't one, just a small wall surrounding what should be one , and a dark deep abyss beyond. Even more impressive was the fire, it was just shooting up from where the stage should ...
