The MGM Grand is Grand Indeed!
Review of MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas by anonymili

Advantages: A fascinating place to visit and so much to see
Disadvantages: One can get worn out just trying to explore the whole hotel

I stayed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for 3 nights and 4 days in August 2008 and can honestly say I had a great time. Please let me warn you that this is a fairly lengthy review of my experience. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost about $7 which works out at less than £4. The first thing you notice about stepping out of the taxi and into the hotel is the fabulous air-conditioning. Vegas in August is VERY hot, well over 40o Centigrade! ...
...fabulously spacious lobby of the MGM and feel cooler straight away. On stepping inside the hotel (if you arrive by car) you are greeted by the large gold lion in the centre of the lobby in front of which it seems everyone who goes there for the first time rushes to have their photo taken in front of! As did I and my roommates! Once that first couple of minutes of excitement was over we went to queue at the check in desks of which there were about ... Read review

Everything Vegas should be!
Review of Bellagio, Las Vegas by spice81

Advantages: Room size, brilliant swimming pools, staff and the fountain show!
Disadvantages: absolutely nothing

After a 2 week roadtrip of average motels and national park lodges, our 4 nights in Vegas were luxurious! We booked into the Bellagio purely because of Ocean's 11 and it was the perfect end to our roadtrip. From the moment we arrived, we had excellent service. The porters didn't flinch when they saw our 4 giant suitcases and 2 huge water bottles (we'd been convinced we'd breakdown in death valley!) and check-in was really speedy. The concierge was ...
...helicopter tour of grand canyon. We stayed in a quad room which was perfectly sized for us and the bathroom was amazing - all 4 of us could fit in the shower with room to spare! and we had a great view over the swimming pools. I can't think of anything bad to say about this hotel, it was perfect Vegas - glitzy, lively and yet not overly "cheesy". Of all the hotels we visited while we were there, the Bellagio was by far the smartest. The fountain ... Read review

Sin City On A Budget
Review of Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas by lilmsnaughty1979

Advantages: Cheap, Central Location, Clean
Disadvantages: Not Flash

...A Budget = The Imperial Palace is not the biggest or boldest hotel an casino on the Las Vegas strip. Most people probably won't have even heard of it, it's not exactly iconic. However it does have two very redeeming features, location and price. Ok, this isn't the Bellagio but let's face it who wants to spend all of their time in Vegas in their room when there's the opportunity to lose your money in any of the numerous and more ...
...or are celebrating something the Imperial Palace is more than adequate. There are a number of restaurants in the Imperial Palace, the only one we used was the Emperor's Buffet for breakfast, that was very nice and very reasonably priced. Again, go and explore the strip, there's plenty of places to eat and most are reasonably priced. The resident entertainment is the Legends lookalike show, it's like stars in your eyes but better. If that floats ... Read review

Las Vegas Opulence
Review of Bellagio, Las Vegas by Cat199

Advantages: Luxurious rooms, dining, fountain show, service
Disadvantages: Check in and general bedm in reception.

For me only the Bellagio would do once we had decided to visit Las Vegas as the second stop on our honeymoon just over two years ago. The hotel featured in the Oceans' 11 film which I loved and I was particularly looking forward to seeing that famous water fountain show. The hotel is located roughly half way along the main Strip area in Vegas, it has an Italian theme and is beautiful to look at from the outside. It is set back from the street and ...
...Providing it is not too windy, from 3pm in the afternoon the fountain show runs every fifteen minutes making for excellent photo opportunities and selling lots of postcards. Booking and prices We organised our whole trip with Kuoni a few months in advance. Strangely in this modern age, we had to wait a few days for confirmation whilst they requested the room. So this was probably not the most efficient booking process and as I wanted this ... Read review

MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas
Review of MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas by Spottydog11

Advantages: 4/5 star, great price, good gambling and atmosphere
Disadvantages: The Lion enclosure

...Las Vegas and chose the MGM hotel to stay at so this forms my review. The MGM is located right on the strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) right by Tropicana Avenue so fairly near one end of the strip. It is located close to the New York New York hotel and there is actually a walkway which joins the two hotels to give you easy access to both. The hotel in its present form was opened at the end of 1993. Most of the hotels in Las Vegas have a certain them ...
...Paris, The Venetian etc. The MGM in my opinion is not as heavily themed as the other hotels but follows along the lines of old Hollywood/California movies stars etc with the feature of the MGM lion and movie star photos in
