Residence Inns and pets
Advantages: Many locations, flexible Disadvantages: a bit expensive
Traveling with a pet is difficult when you are doing ANYTHING other than camping. Try going to Los Vegas with a diabetic dog!
Well, I did just that. I found to my very great relief that this WAS possible with Marriots Residence Inn. Not only did they have accommodations for my very blind, very hyper dog over Thanksgiving weekend, they also had a refrigerator for the insulin she needs.
We had a suite with 2 bedrooms, a lifesaver when you have small ... ...their own, the dog in the living area and our own room for some much needed peace and quiet. We found that while the rates may be considered high, they were offset by discounts for companies, with room for up to 6 people in the suite we rented. As well, they include a free breakfast buffet that was exceptional, a cut above the usual danish and coffee most include. ...

The Best Kept Secret in Las Vegas
Advantages: Best Value for Money in Las Vegas Disadvantages: Not on the Strip
Everyone has heard of the Bellagio in Las Vegas very opulent, a fantastic place to stay and a real budget breaker-but I'm going to tell you about my favourite discovery in Las Vegas where you can enjoy all the glitz of Las Vegas at a fraction of the price..
If you'd rather spend your money on a fabulous suite (which you'll only be sleeping in as Las Vegas has so much to see and do) then stop reading now but if you'd rather spend your hard earned ... ...course a little flutter in the casinos-then read on.
The Orleans is located a mile off the strip on West Flamingo-something that did make me wonder if I'd picked the right hotel surely The Strip was the place to be-but the price was great and we were attending a couple of shows at their 700 seater showroom so I agreed to giving it a try.
We were warmly greeted at reception and told our requests for a high room with a strip view had been met. I ...

Big,Brash, Bold bit getting tired.
Advantages: Iconic place to stay. Disadvantages: Decor was tired and a bit shabby
We stayed at the Luxor twice recently. Our first impression after a transatlantic flight was WOW!!! It was huge! I have never seen a hotel on this scale before. It took us over an hour to check in, we were queing for aboslutely ages, and I have no idea why as we were the only ones from our flight staying there! It felt a bit like queing for a ride at Disney world! Our room was on the 21st floor and again it was huge, we were blown away but after ... ...either. The following morning we went to look at the pool and spa and casino. Again the sheer size of everything is amazing and we were gobsmacked. I think we walked about with our mouths open for ages! I sampled the spa and it was lovely, nothing special but for 60 dollars you cant complain. The pool areas were absolutely packed because they had roped of one of the pools for work. We had breakfast in the hotel which was very pricey but good. We ...

A little bit of Venice in the middle of the desert.
Advantages: Safe and secure great facilities very luxurious suites extremely comfortable. Disadvantages: Time share touts in all the hotels in Las Vegas.
The Venetian hotel is a 5 Star high quality hotel and like all the hotels in Las Vegas it is a spectacularly decorated and themed hotel based on Venice with a canal that goes from a lagoon on the outside right through the middle of the hotel and various squares restaurants and shopping malls inside.
Nothing can prepare you for the brilliant and opulence of the hotel. Looking at pictures and its web site you are ill prepared for what you are about ... ...arrive at the arrivals area of the hotel foyer. It is a covered area and the porters and car directors are dressed in traditional black trousers, striped T-shirts and straw hats giving the impression that they are gondoliers. The area is quite busy and you need to have your wits about you as cars constantly drive in and drop off passengers and pick up passengers leaving the hotel. There are pedestrian walk ways which I would advise you to keep to.

If only all Stations were like this one
Advantages: Manageable size, comfortable rooms, good service, excellent food and drink, value for money Disadvantages: Location is about as far from the Strip as you can get , no entertainment
...characters moved out. The Main Street Station is a rarity because the casino has been lovingly preserved, giving you an idea of what it would have been like to gamble in the city in the era of burlesque as the entire theme of the place is Victorian. The Location Downtown Las Vegas is situated to the north of the Strip - when there's little traffic it only takes about 15 to 20 minutes in a cab to McCarran International Airport, however this being ... ...The hotel is located on Main Street, and is a short walk from Fremont Street, which is the main street for hotels and casinos in the downtown area. It is located about a five minute walk from the Downtown Transportation Center, where you can catch many service buses throughout the city, including the main "Deuce" bus which runs from downtown along the Strip. Hotel rooms face either the freeway heading north on one side, or the railroad on the other. ...
