The Best Kept Secret in Las Vegas
Review of The Orleans Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas by trafalgargal

Advantages: Best Value for Money in Las Vegas
Disadvantages: Not on the Strip

Everyone has heard of the Bellagio in Las Vegas very opulent, a fantastic place to stay and a real budget breaker-but I'm going to tell you about my favourite discovery in Las Vegas where you can enjoy all the glitz of Las Vegas at a fraction of the price.. If you'd rather spend your money on a fabulous suite (which you'll only be sleeping in as Las Vegas has so much to see and do) then stop reading now but if you'd rather spend your hard earned ...
...course a little flutter in the casinos-then read on. The Orleans is located a mile off the strip on West Flamingo-something that did make me wonder if I'd picked the right hotel surely The Strip was the place to be-but the price was great and we were attending a couple of shows at their 700 seater showroom so I agreed to giving it a try. We were warmly greeted at reception and told our requests for a high room with a strip view had been met. I ... Read review

Residence Inns and pets
Review of Marriott Suites, Las Vegas by MaryLC

Advantages: Many locations, flexible
Disadvantages: a bit expensive

Traveling with a pet is difficult when you are doing ANYTHING other than camping. Try going to Los Vegas with a diabetic dog! Well, I did just that. I found to my very great relief that this WAS possible with Marriots Residence Inn. Not only did they have accommodations for my very blind, very hyper dog over Thanksgiving weekend, they also had a refrigerator for the insulin she needs. We had a suite with 2 bedrooms, a lifesaver when you have small ...
...their own, the dog in the living area and our own room for some much needed peace and quiet. We found that while the rates may be considered high, they were offset by discounts for companies, with room for up to 6 people in the suite we rented. As well, they include a free breakfast buffet that was exceptional, a cut above the usual danish and coffee most include. ... Read review

The MGM Grand is Grand Indeed!
Review of MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas by anonymili

Advantages: A fascinating place to visit and so much to see
Disadvantages: One can get worn out just trying to explore the whole hotel

I stayed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for 3 nights and 4 days in August 2008 and can honestly say I had a great time. Please let me warn you that this is a fairly lengthy review of my experience. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost about $7 which works out at less than £4. The first thing you notice about stepping out of the taxi and into the hotel is the fabulous air-conditioning. Vegas in August is VERY hot, well over 40o Centigrade! ...
...fabulously spacious lobby of the MGM and feel cooler straight away. On stepping inside the hotel (if you arrive by car) you are greeted by the large gold lion in the centre of the lobby in front of which it seems everyone who goes there for the first time rushes to have their photo taken in front of! As did I and my roommates! Once that first couple of minutes of excitement was over we went to queue at the check in desks of which there were about ... Read review

Everything Vegas should be!
Review of Bellagio, Las Vegas by spice81

Advantages: Room size, brilliant swimming pools, staff and the fountain show!
Disadvantages: absolutely nothing

After a 2 week roadtrip of average motels and national park lodges, our 4 nights in Vegas were luxurious! We booked into the Bellagio purely because of Ocean's 11 and it was the perfect end to our roadtrip. From the moment we arrived, we had excellent service. The porters didn't flinch when they saw our 4 giant suitcases and 2 huge water bottles (we'd been convinced we'd breakdown in death valley!) and check-in was really speedy. The concierge was ...
...helicopter tour of grand canyon. We stayed in a quad room which was perfectly sized for us and the bathroom was amazing - all 4 of us could fit in the shower with room to spare! and we had a great view over the swimming pools. I can't think of anything bad to say about this hotel, it was perfect Vegas - glitzy, lively and yet not overly "cheesy". Of all the hotels we visited while we were there, the Bellagio was by far the smartest. The fountain ... Read review

Sin City On A Budget
Review of Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas by lilmsnaughty1979

Advantages: Cheap, Central Location, Clean
Disadvantages: Not Flash

...A Budget = The Imperial Palace is not the biggest or boldest hotel an casino on the Las Vegas strip. Most people probably won't have even heard of it, it's not exactly iconic. However it does have two very redeeming features, location and price. Ok, this isn't the Bellagio but let's face it who wants to spend all of their time in Vegas in their room when there's the opportunity to lose your money in any of the numerous and more ...
...or are celebrating something the Imperial Palace is more than adequate. There are a number of restaurants in the Imperial Palace, the only one we used was the Emperor's Buffet for breakfast, that was very nice and very reasonably priced. Again, go and explore the strip, there's plenty of places to eat and most are reasonably priced. The resident entertainment is the Legends lookalike show, it's like stars in your eyes but better. If that floats ... Read review
