The MGM Grand is Grand Indeed!

Advantages: A fascinating place to visit and so much to see
Disadvantages: One can get worn out just trying to explore the whole hotel

I stayed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for 3 nights and 4 days in August 2008 and can honestly say I had a great time. Please let me warn you that this is a fairly lengthy review of my experience. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost about $7 which worked out at less than £4 at the time. The first thing you notice about stepping out of the taxi and into the hotel is the fabulous air-conditioning. Vegas in August is VERY hot, well ...
...fabulously spacious lobby of the MGM and feel cooler straight away. On stepping inside the hotel (if you arrive by car) you are greeted by the large gold lion in the centre of the lobby in front of which it seems everyone who goes there for the first time rushes to have their photo taken in front of! Sin City On A Budget

Advantages: Cheap, Central Location, Clean
Disadvantages: Not Flash

...A Budget = The Imperial Palace is not the biggest or boldest hotel an casino on the Las Vegas strip. Most people probably won't have even heard of it, it's not exactly iconic. However it does have two very redeeming features, location and price. Ok, this isn't the Bellagio but let's face it who wants to spend all of their time in Vegas in their room when there's the opportunity to lose your money in any of the numerous and more ...
...or are celebrating something the Imperial Palace is more than adequate. There are a number of restaurants in the Imperial Palace, the only one we used was the Emperor's Buffet for breakfast, that was very nice and very reasonably priced. Again, go and explore the strip, there's plenty of places to eat and most are reasonably priced. The resident entertainment is the Legends lookalike show, it's like stars in your eyes but better. If that floats ...

Review of Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas

Caesar's Palace - Great place to stay

Advantages: Very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff
Disadvantages: Celine Dion!

...had an amazing time at Caesars Palace. Having spent 5 days on the strip, the three hotels i would recommend are Caesars Palace, The Venetian and the Belaggio, this is where i would choose to stay if i were travelling again. Caesars had a great layout, the lobby was beautiful, the gaming areas were comfortable and the waitresses great. We ate our buffet breakfast at Caesars most mornings, we tried a few other places, but decided it was the best value ...
...Caesars which really has to be seen to be believed. Like the Venetian, if you like high end fashion, with designer labels, then this is the place for you. Having said that, amoungst these designers, you'll find FAO Schwartz, gift shops, Nike, Planet Hollywood and all sorts. Review of Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

Living it up in Vegas

Advantages: Value for money, excellent casino layout, comfortable rooms
Disadvantages: Getting a bit tired, Arthurian theme not to everyone's liking

Review of Excalibur Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas

  A Superb Gamble in Vegas! The Paris Hotel!

Advantages: Something new to explore..you can be in Paris and Las Vegas at the same time!
Disadvantages: A bit pricy for some, you need more than two weeks to see everything!

...They have managed to bring Paris, the city of romance, to the desert of Las Vegas while still keeping the Spirit of the City of Lights, Neon and Roulette!
