Viva Las Vegas - Where do I start - I absolutely love Las Vegas, it truly is a wonderufl playground. I used to live in LA so popping over to Vegas for the weekend was no problem, except don't drive home on a Labour Day weekend as it will take you 7 hours plus to get home! To experience Vegas you really need a good 3 days, any more and I think you will go stir crazy. I'm taking my husband there for his first time next month and this is what we are going to do: Firstly I think we will walk up and down the strip taking in all the hotels. It's fun because you can pop into anyone you like, grab a quick drink, take a look around and then go onto the next. Where to stay - the Bellagio is obviously luxurious but a bit expensive so if you're looking for a middle of the road hotel the MGM or New York New york is nice. For a cheap but still great hotel try the Flamingo. Circus Circus is great for kids. All the hotels though offer first class service. Restaurants - try Aureole in Mandalay Bay which has a 42 ft wine tower with mechanical hoists for the staff so they can get your bottle of wine. Lounge Bar - For free entertainment try New York New York which has a great stage and bar which great acts Shopping - it has to be The Forum in Ceasars Palace - designer shops but so great everyday shops too. Paris is also good for shopping. Clubs - Studio 54 in MGM is great disco fun. Roller coasters - The New York New York roller coaster is great, the Strastosphere Tower has two, once which goes over the side of the building which is quite scary! All in all, some people say Vegas is tacky and fake but I think the service is second to none, the hotels are first class and the experience is like nothing on earth. You go and you will love it and having cravings of needing to go back.!

Just came back from Reno, "The Biggest Little City in the World" Was quite nice but not as glamourous and lively as I remembered Vegas to be. Nice review!

Advantages: so much to do, casinos, shows, museums, shopping , daytrips ... Disadvantages: smoking allowed almost everywhere, can be expensive, spend more than you planned

Review of Las Vegas
Advantages: Totally out of this world experience, so much to see and do, great hotels and casinos Disadvantages: Sleazy in places, a few days isn't long enough to see it all
