When I first took it out of the box I was surprised that it was slightly smaller than my old work latitude & about 1/3 lighter. The wide screen display (WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution is a sharp, clear picture) means I will be able to watch films on the train but as usual with laptops the mouse/keypad is too cumbersome for my speedy typing. The screen is 30cm, almost 12 inches horizontally. And 19cm, 7.5 inches vertically. The actual top part of the frame is 33.5cm, 13.25 inches horizontally. And 24cm, 9.5 inches vertically. The bottom part of the frame is obviously just the same as the top part.
When the laptop is shut is measures just over three cm which is 1.25 inches. So it isn't that thick but there again isn't super slim either.
Battery...
The battery cable for this laptop stretches from one end of a small room to the other so is quite long. It charges up to four hours and there is a little battery icon which is filled in blue when it's fully charged and goes down as the battery level goes down. As I briefly mentioned in one of my previous reviews, this is a humongous holiday resort which stretches out for miles and miles, and comprises of activities, fun and cuisine for every ages and tastes. It is situated at Pailles, a small town just a few minutes before Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius.
