Manufacturer's product description
Step inside and you will find a warm Lebanese welcome in the Byblos, named for a pretty little Lebanese fishing village. The cuisine is varied and plentiful. If you cannot decide on what to have, take the easy way out and try the mezze, an assortment of traditional dishes: taboule libanais (a couscous dish with parsley), kefta (meatballs flavoured with spices), houmos (chickpea puree). The decor in the two dining rooms is typically Lebanese with trompe l'oeil frescoes in shades of brown, orange and beige and a bar made of dark wood. The varied clientele span all age groups and professions.
Advantages: Great food, great nature, great culture! Disadvantages: A civic war ruined much.
...actually been greatest in the world for some things like journalistic. For example Lebanon has some really famous newspapers that don’t focus on spreading bad information about the western world like other Arab newspapers. Some of these newspapers are “The Daily Star”, “L´Orient-Le Jour” and “An-Nahar”.
The biggest languages in Lebanon are Arabic and French. So you will get most out of you vacation if you know one of these but English is fine to.

Advantages: Rich historical and archaeological as well as cultural country Disadvantages: Not many for tourists, but slightly expensive
...and fashions than any meaningful thought-provoking event. This is what alienates me from my own place of origin and I am sad to say that I feel like a total freak when I am there (I have never followed fashion in my life and quite frankly, clothes are what I wear because of the commotion I may cause if I dared to walk out the door in my "natural state", and because it is cold in England! I do like nice clothes but my life does not revolve around what I am going to wear or what cream I shall use and what restaurant I want to be seen in, theirs often does!).
Most of my Lebanese friends feel the same as I do, and this is a situation that is making many youths leave the country.
On the other hand, "simple" people are always friendlier and easier to get on with, they do not usually carry their ego in a lorry (but sometimes in a car) and whilst you...

Advantages: location, location, location Disadvantages: On main promenade so can be a bit noisy
...This hotel has a stunning location - central on the Promenade des Anglais - you cannot beat the sight of the sun setting over the bay. The hotel is a Le Meridian so all the usual services are available - excellent restaurant, spacious lounges, well appointed bedrooms etc. The features which make this hotel stand out are the roof top swimming pool and balconies, together with a roof top restaurant where you can eat in the open air and watch the sun set at the same time. Magnificent! Rooms with a garden view and/or city view are a less noisy (and cheaper) but they don't have the view. Hotel is central and only a short walk to the shops and old town so if you tire of the view........

Hoping for a short break in the sun we opted for Nice which is a great city. The hotel was located on the main promenade , easy walking distance to all the big fashion shops and the old town. It was also a very easy bus ride from the airport, the bus... more
I’ve just returned from a holiday in Nice, where there’s approximately 300 days of sunshine a year, there are French women sunbathing topless on the beach, and you can dunk your baguette in your coffee and just sit back and watch the world go by. I went more
