Oh La La debmercury stays in Hotel Bellevue Paris

Advantages: Excellent location and good value for money
Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people

looking for glitz and glam this is not the hotel for you. But if you are looking for a base to explore Paris and you want a really clean room , cheerful service and really good value for your money then this place is for you. The Bellevue as I have already stated is in an excellent location, rooms and reception are very clean but basic and we found the continental breakfast was a great start to the day. Reception staff are multi-lingual and very friendly they will help you in any way they can ( we had to ask for directions a couple of times and for more coathangers for our wardrobe but nothing was a problem). Breakfast staff where also very friendly and happy. The only downsides I can think of is the hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar, but there are lots of bars and cafes close by. Also the hotel does not have any ...

Athenaeum Luxury at the InterContinental

Advantages: Helpful staff, lovely bedrooms, mini-bus service into the centre
Disadvantages: Not much in the local area, expensive, facilities not the best

(which had a view of the Acropolis) was marble effect floor rather than carpet, and had a sofa, glass coffee table with a couple of glossy Greek tourism magazines, and a writing desk and chair. There was also a kettle with Lipton teabags and Nescafe coffee sticks. There was air-conditioning but even on full blast it was still quite warm. On opening the window the room became a bit noisy. At least the blackout curtains kept the room darkened. The Bathroom: Very clean, but showing it's age a bit. There was a white fluffy bathrobe and slippers, which is always a plus point, bathroom scale (not so good!) and lovely Korres toiletries and a hygiene kit containing face pads, cotton buds and a mini sewing kit. It's nice to see that the Inter-Continental is using a natural, Greek brand. This consisted of Aloe and Soapwort shampoo, Achillea ...

Le meridien Paris

Advantages: spotlessly clean, luxury hotel.
Disadvantages: costs

It was my wife?s 40th birthday, so what could I do that was a little special? What about a trip in a hot air balloon? That was out as she doesn?t like heights. What about a weekend in Blackpool? Not an option as it isn?t her favourite place. So I choose Paris. It would be our first time out of the country together and as a couple with no children! And where better than the romantic capital of the world? So I booked the short stay at my local Thomas cook, and we decided on Le meridian hotel in Montparnasse ? Paris. The hotel was built in 1974 and has 25 floors, with eight lifts (elevators) and 953 rooms. The hotel offers a range of ?extras? including, 24 hour room service and reception and concierge desk: Fax machine, interconnecting rooms, e-mail facilities, Currency exchange, Laundry/dry cleaning service, Safe deposit ...
