on and off the trains. Upgrading to first class at a cost (what it cost us) £39 each is well worth it. You get extra leg room, and plenty of extras like champagne, drinks, and a meal.
Travelling by taxi to your hotel is somewhat difficult, and you may (like we were) be charged extra for being in a wheelchair, plus extra luggage-a totally unacceptable behaviour.
Overall:
I would highly recommend this hotel, it is a touch of class, and brings you into a ?special? status. Prices range and they currently have special offers so why not check their web site (stated below)

Advantages: Great value for money. Luxury property with European style. Something different for KL Disadvantages: Not as contemporary as Hilton but all down to personal preference.
smaller than the Hilton lobby, however it was much more intimate and instantly felt cosy. The valet opened the door to my car and the bellboy took my luggage, welcoming me to LeMeridien KL before driving my car off to be parked.
Check In
When I first walked into the lobby I was quite surprised as I had been expecting the standard Asian themed lobby and this certainly couldn?t have been further from it. Instead it was extremely European and completely in keeping with the Le Meriden brand and it?s French origins. Lots of white stone, interesting architecture and a real sense of European culture and service was abound. Rather than the local cultural dress the staff uniforms were very European and it made a refreshing change.

On my recent holiday to Malta i stayed in LeMeridien Hotel, located in Saint Julian's. I would not normally have stayed in a 5 star hotel, but I was lucky enough to win some money towards a holiday from the company that I work for. Obviously, with free money, you are going to push the boat out a bit, and I am glad we did!!
Location/Area
We arrived at the hotel in the dark, quite late on a Friday night. The taxi brought us round a few small streets and then up quite a steep hill, thus bringing us to the reception of the hotel. My first impression was that it was in quite a strange location, but this is because i had only just seen where we were, and also it was dark, so everything seems different. The doors to the reception are round the back of the hotel and on the ground level floor.
