...fortunate enough to stay at Le Meridien, in Brussels a few weeks back after winning a competition. It was a novel situation all round as I would not normally be able to afford to stay at this quite exclusive establishment on my travel and subsistence budget and, even if I were I would be too busy to appreciate my surroundings. The Le Meridien chain is managed by the US based Starwood Group. This also includes the Sheraton, Westin and St Regis chains amongst others. Le Meridien Brussels Hotel is a contemporary designed building, combining the Victoria Style lobby with its wealth of marble and a Mediterranean atmosphere in the restaurant. The Hotel Meridien in Brussels is ideally located, very close to the Grand Place, in the historic heart of Brussels facing the Congress Centre and the Central Station. Direct access by railway shuttle to the international airport, the Thalys Eurostar terminal and by metro to the European Community Headquarters. Le Meridien Hotel has refurbished half of its bedrooms and refreshed all meeting rooms, 12 in total. It is hard resisting the charm of this ever-growing city and its emblematic Le Meridien Hotel.
