I come to Paris at least four time per year and Le Meridien Montparnasse is my top choice when rooms are available.

Okay, now the only complaint I can even come up with is that when big events (soccer championships, Paris Air Show, Automobile Convention, etc.) come to Paris, Le Meridien books up very fast and getting a room can be a challenge. Okay, now the only complaint I can even come up with is that when big events (soccer championships, Paris Air Show, Automobile Convention, etc.) come to Paris, Le Meridien books up very fast and getting a room can be a challenge. During the Paris Air Show I managed to get a room but had to pay "rack rates" (410 Euros per night!!!!) for it. I thought my manager would skin me alive for that cost... So, if you know you are traveling to Paris, book this hotel as soon as you can to get a room and better price. It will become your favorite hotel too.
A recent trip to Paris was extremely delightful. We stayed at the 'leMeridien' hotel in Montparnasse. The city of Paris has a population of around 22.2 million people, and it seems none of them eat in doors! Every cafe, restaurant, etc was usually packed. And all have tables very close together. Being disabled and in a wheelchair, I can certainly say that Paris is not a wheelchair friendly place. In fact it is completely unfriendly. However, I would go again.
The roads must have one of the most amounts of traffic lights I have ever seen, and the drivers are well terrible. They have no care for anyone except theirselves. If you are able bodied, the metro system (underground) is never far away, there was also a host of buses and taxis available.I can not comment on any except the taxis. If you have lugguage, beware they charge you ...
on and off the trains. Upgrading to first class at a cost (what it cost us) £39 each is well worth it. You get extra leg room, and plenty of extras like champagne, drinks, and a meal.
Travelling by taxi to your hotel is somewhat difficult, and you may (like we were) be charged extra for being in a wheelchair, plus extra luggage-a totally unacceptable behaviour.
Overall:
I would highly recommend this hotel, it is a touch of class, and brings you into a ?special? status. Prices range and they currently have special offers so why not check their web site (stated below)
My ratings:
Food 5/10
Staff friendliness 9/10
Cleanliness of hotel 10/10
Overall 9/10
