...I was on a city break to Prague and had a winderful time. The weather was great, the food outstanding, the people friendly, the hotel fantastic. While in Prague there is so much to do and see that you will undoubtedly run out of time. I used a whole day to visit Terezin and the Ghettos - humbly to a huge degree. The castle is beautiful and the surrounding buildings and churches are fabulous works of art. I crossed Charles Bridge and was fascinated by some of the sights. The lunch cruise was a bit of a disappointment and I would not do this again or recommend it. I found getting around Prague relatively easy - primarily due to the location of the hotel....

Advantages: When you spot it, you always know where you are!!!!!!! Disadvantages: none!!!
...On our sec ond day in Prague we went on a brief city tour and we were introduced to the stunning powder gate. It is just one of the many examples of the imposing but gorgeous Prague architecture. According to our tour guide (a set of headphones!!), it is called the powder gate becasue they used to store gun powder there in the olden days.
We found the powder gate almost an entrance to the old town and walked through it gazing up in awe regularly. Prague is a winding city adn it can be hard to get your bearings so we just looked up and when we saw the powder gate we knew where we were!!
It really is a medieval compass and a must see sight in Prague!!!...
