Have stayed at the MeridienSpa twice now and it has to have been one of the best hotels I have stayed in. If we are flying through Dubai it is the only place the family will stay in for a couple of days stop over.
Upon arrival in Dubai, after negotiating the immigration queues. LeMeridien will meet you (if prearranged) and drive you to the resort. The hotel is situated about 25 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the centre of Dubai. Taxis are available but last time I visited it was a nightmare trying to find one at 3 in the morning! You cannot walk from your hotel into town unless you are mad! Wild Wadi is close by, 10 minutes by taxi.

There is also a spa providing every kind of treatment that you may wish to indulge yourself in for an extra charge. I never used this myself but I am told it is fantastic.
There is a beautiful golf course not far from the hotel, and they will book tee times for you and arrange transport to get there, well worth a visit if you are a keen golfer.
The only downside to the hotel is the building work which is going on in the area. It seems that there are new hotels being built all around, and on approach to the resort you will wonder what you have got yourself into.
