Advantages: Excellent 5 star hotel
Disadvantages: Too posh for some people

...WRITTEN August 2002 INTRODUCTION My wife and I had a lovely visit to Prague in July/August 2002. We stayed at the Marriott Hotel for 5 nights. This op simply describes the facilities at the hotel. I have also written a few words about my temping assignment at Marriott Services. WORKING FOR MARRIOTT SERVICES In 1997 I had the stupid urge to go temping. I registered with the employment agency Hays Accountancy Personnel, which soon found me a 10-week assignment with Marriott Services. This company is an offshoot of the hotel chain and provides vending machines to hospitals and gardening services to schools etc. My hourly pay was a paltry GBP 4.50, which was about 80p above the minimum wage. ...Marriott Hotels and Resorts Marriott Hotels and Resorts is an American based company that offers hotels throughout the world mainly through a franchise agreement. I have stayed in many Marriott’s throughout the UK, Europe and also in the USA and have always found them to be a good standard of hotel providing excellent facilities, accommodation and courteous staff. There are different types and standards of Marriott hotel including Marriott marquis which are the crème de la crème of the chain as well as the cheaper and more cost effective Marriott Courtyard brand in addition to the Renaissance brand and Marriott time share opportunities. Advantages: Just of the M56 - convenient

...& dring, there's firstly the "Lobby Bar" that's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you can pick up a fresh Costa Coffee or sandwiches throughout the day (I had a nice three cheese panini). Also, "Mendelssohns Restaurant " is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast here was very nice, and the staff were very helpful. Thirdly, "Players Restaurant" (didn't sample this one) is round the back of the hotel and offers "fine cuisine in vibrant surroundings. A destination restaurant popular in the local area"... There is, of course, a full room service menu (I can rarely resist a "Marriott Burger") that is quickly delivered, with a smile and £2.50 "tray charge".
