Leeds Bradford is a nice small airport with easy access, there is a regular bus service from Leeds City Centre or onsite car parking. All the check-in desks are together and easy to access with television screens around with desk numbers. Once through the check-in gate there are various facilities: a cafe which does breakfasts, snacks etc. A bar, Deli-France and a newsagents as well as Duty Free. There are plenty of public facilites such as toilets, telephones etc.
The low cost airlines are now flying from Leeds, we have used Ryan Air on a number of occasions and the fares are great, we have been to Dublin for £3. Jet 2 have now started flying and they have some good destinations e.g. Amsterdam, Faro.
The only draw back I have found recently is the on-site car parking. The minimum charge for 3 days was £12 which was £4 per day. I was shocked to discover that it had more than doubled last time to £25 minimum charge. I had budgeted for the £12. I emailed the staff, who say it is competitive with Manchester. I disagree because I like to try and support our local smaller airports, and I was not using Manchester.
However, there is off-site parking at Sentinel who are online and can be booked in advance. It is quite near and they take you and bring you back from the airport by minibus. Just leave your flight number with them and they are waiting on your return. They even wash and valet your car if required. Their charges are much more reasonable and you get discount if you book through the AA.

Prestwick Airport has really seemd to put its parking prices up, and last time I needed to leave the car at Glasgow for a few days, I needed to remortgage to pay the bill...lol! Helen

I don`t like this airport, it hardly has any duty free shops, which is a bit of a let don, what else are you supposed to do whilst waiting for your flight!? Oh and the VIP lounge isn`t very good either, I`ll stick to Manchester i think! kayxx
