A grand northern experience
Advantages: rooms - service- pool - Disadvantages: maybe slightly pricey
...and is owned by the De Vere group. We were looking for a peaceful retreat whilst on an overdue visit to Leeds to catch up with some friends and this hotel being only ten miles from the centre of Leeds seemed to fit what we were looking for perfectly. *Arrival & check in*
After a long drive from Oxfordshire up to Leeds, we were very happy to reach our destination. The elegant driveway spans past the golf course as it winds up to the grand old house. ... ...English sophistication. The gardens and floral displays are excellently cared for and planned and the architecture of Oulton Hall itself is breathtaking.
A large marble lobby is awaiting us after we walk through the door that the concierge eagerly holds open. The hotel from its first appearance has a huge impact of something grand and very special.
The reception area is large and clean with fast, efficient and friendly reception staffs whom were ...

Good Hotel to Stay in City Center but...
Advantages: Close to City Center, Budget Hotel, Free Breakfast Disadvantages: No free internet, Not much Value for Money, Uncleanliness with some services
I booked this hotel for my stay in Leeds as I wanted to stay in the city center. I have been staying in various hotels, so I had some expectations from this one as well. When you want to choose any hotel, you have few criteria in mind. I would like to write on the criteria I had in my mind, so you can take this review as per your need. Quality of hotel service: It was satisfactory, not exceptional but not bad too. Condition or maintenance of the ... ...smell (like the one when the area is closed for long time), the breakfast sitting area was clean BUT, the cutlery was not clean. I had to wipe the spoons and forks I used. They clearly were not cleaned properly. Cleanliness of room: but the rooms were maintained alright. The bathrooms were clean, but you don't get to see posh bathrooms. Comfort of room: I did not like the beds (they were spring beds, and for me, they cause back pain). The TV was ...

Jurys inn - Cheap hotel in Leeds
Advantages: Cheap, presentable hotel, good location Disadvantages: Soulless, very noisy from outside
Jurys Inn, Leeds is a reasonably priced hotel that is a 10 minute walk both from the train station and shopping centre of Leeds. We stayed here one weekend in August 09 and it cost us £60 per night for a room with a double bed and a sofa bed (though it would have been squashed with 3 of us). We found the hotel clean and presentable, with reasonable facilities, but very soulless. The staff were polite, although reserved rather than warm. It is part ... ...that probably every other hotel in this chain is exactly like this one. Checkout was at 12, though you could extend this (at a price). The facilities in the room were fairly standard for a budget hotel chain - there was a fair selection of tea and coffee, a desk with internet connection point, a television with more channels than we could hope to watch, and an en suite bathroom with a wall-mounted combined shampoo/soap dispenser. There was a lift ...

park plaza hotel - leeds
Advantages: easy to find, near to everything, little bit of luxury Disadvantages: none
i stayed at the park plaza for a night a year ago with my boyfriend. it isn't the cheapest in leeds, but you get what you pay for!
it's really easy to get to, straight across from the train station, and near all the nightlife, shops and resteraunts. we didnt go to the resteraunt in the hotel, but the bar was pretty good, expensive as you'd expect though.
the room was great!!! all black & white, really big bed, nice posh bathroom with a really deep ...

Leeds Hilton...like most Hiltons
Advantages: The Room Disadvantages: The concierge
...you would expect from the Hilton really.
The room temperature was easily adjusted, even if the heater fan was a bit noisy when it was turned up. The bed was very comfortable as expected with about 8 pillows just for the two of us. Apart from the beginning, the stay was very pleasant and I would stay here again, as long as they dont' have the same concierge working. ...
