Quality Hotel Selby Fork

Advantages: Good room and amenities
Disadvantages: evening meal poor and disorganised

Visited for one night stay on February 23rd along with my wife and another couple. We were very happy with the room and anyone taking children will enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool along with other amenities. Unfortunately the couple with us had two single beds pushed together which made for an uncomfortable night for them. Also some rather loud clanging during the night presumably from the water pipes or air conditioning system. When it came ...
...time we got to the front of a rather chaotic queue there was no pork left and we got an unenthusiastic reply that no more was to come out. No carrots or peas etc, just undercooked cauliflower and broccoli. Although we enjoyed the breakfast the coffee was luke warm and only dregs were left in the teapot. ...

A quick stay at Quebecs...

Advantages: Wonderfully designed & perfect location
Disadvantages: costly

Quebec's hotel is a boutique townhouse hotel in Leeds. My husband and myself took our first romantic night away here. Our plan was to hit the vibrant lights of the city on the Saturday night along with enjoying the luxury of this gorgeous hotel. This plan was all to change... *Location* Quebec's hotel has brilliant positioning within the centre of Leeds. It is within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and train station. This was one of the ...
...know Leeds too well, therefore, it is always nice to be close to the amenities and transport links. *First impressions & check in* When entering the hotel, the elegance and style of the hotel are immediately apparent. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very eager to help. The decor is classic and premium and the furnishings are very comfortable. The reception desk is on the ground level , next to the Oak sweeping staircase and underneath the large ...

Our stay in Leeds

Advantages: Clean and comfortable
Disadvantages: None for us

42 The Calls Leeds When we visited Leeds a few weeks ago, we decided we wanted a hotel close to the city centre which would be comfortable and a general search found us booking this one. **Getting there...** Address: 42 the Calls LS2 7EW Leeds It’s always tricky finding somewhere in a new city, so we entered the post code into the sat nav and off we went. The only tricky bit was when we got to the centre, where there are one way streets, but this ...
...it became obvious that it was very close to the centre although in a really quiet area right next to the river, so we parked the car in a parking bay next to the hotel and went to check in. It’s worth noting here that the parking bays are free after 6pm and free all day on a Sunday so although the hotel does get reduced rates for the nearby car parks, if you are there on a Saturday night, it’s worth making use of the parking bays. **First Impressions...** ...

Comfort Inn - I don't think so!!!!!!

Advantages: Cheap room with breakfast in City Centre location
Disadvantages: Dated decoration, not very well cleaned, noisy

...deliberating we decided on the Comfort Inn in Bishopsgate which is located pretty centrally within a stones throw of Leeds train station and the hustle and bustle of the main shopping areas too. The room was priced at £59 for bed and breakfast, which we felt was very reasonable and we decided to park our car at a friends house who lives just outside of the city centre and then get the bus into Leeds to save on parking fees. Another plus point of ...
...to the railway viaduct the Comfort Inn looks rather out of place in amongst the old man pubs and dirty looking buildings. In fact we almost walked past it as it just looked like a lobby rather than a hotel it was only the sign in the window that gave it away. We entered the building through the double front door and found ourselves in a small lobby where the lift was located; we couldn't see any signs for a staircase so we dutifully jumped in the ...
