Quality Hotel Selby Fork

Advantages: Good room and amenities
Disadvantages: evening meal poor and disorganised

Visited for one night stay on February 23rd along with my wife and another couple. We were very happy with the room and anyone taking children will enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool along with other amenities. Unfortunately the couple with us had two single beds pushed together which made for an uncomfortable night for them. Also some rather loud clanging during the night presumably from the water pipes or air conditioning system. When it came ...
...time we got to the front of a rather chaotic queue there was no pork left and we got an unenthusiastic reply that no more was to come out. No carrots or peas etc, just undercooked cauliflower and broccoli. Although we enjoyed the breakfast the coffee was luke warm and only dregs were left in the teapot. ...

Leeds Hilton...like most Hiltons

Advantages: The Room
Disadvantages: The concierge

...you would expect from the Hilton really. The room temperature was easily adjusted, even if the heater fan was a bit noisy when it was turned up. The bed was very comfortable as expected with about 8 pillows just for the two of us. Apart from the beginning, the stay was very pleasant and I would stay here again, as long as they dont' have the same concierge working. ...

Queens hotel Home away from home

Advantages: excellent services comfortable rooms and great location.
Disadvantages: Too high prices

Queens hotel is one of the best hotels in Leeds and also the oldest hotel in Leeds. After the refurbishment that took place a couple of years ago the Queens hotel now has 217 rooms. The rooms are really good and comfortable and the quality of service provided is excellent. The rooms are well furnished and also very comfortable. The rooms can cost about £100 pounds per night unless you get a last minute deal on sundays especially when the hotel is ...
...in the heart of the city right next to the train station and a few mins away from the Leeds Bradford airport. The main plus point of the hotel is the location of the hotel. There is a newly refurbished restaurant in the basement of the hotel. The Queens grill restaurant was refurbished just about 9 months ago. The menu and the quality of the food served in the restaurant is excellent. There is also Queens bar right next to the reception. The hotel ...

Don't plan on sleeping...

Advantages: Reasonable price, clean
Disadvantages: Noise, noise noise

...visit, and had found the Merrion online. I went to University in Leeds so I was familiar with the Merrion Hotel's location, and often used the Merrion Shopping Centre which is located beneath the hotel. After a quick phone call, my details were taken and I arrived a few days later. The hotel is in the heart if the city centre, 5 minutes walk from the main shopping areas and restaurants and amenities. The train and bus stations are 10-15 minutes ...
...sniffle). Arriving by car, the Merrion Hotel is about 1.5 miles away from Junction 3 on the M621 Motorway; then best to follow the city centre signs. The hotel is quite tucked away from the main roads, best to head to the Merrion Centre then drive round to the rear of the centre and you can't miss it. The Merrion Centre is opposite the Headrow, where another shopping centre can be found along an arterial road of the same name. There aren't many ...

Our stay in Leeds

Advantages: Clean and comfortable
Disadvantages: None for us

42 The Calls Leeds When we visited Leeds a few weeks ago, we decided we wanted a hotel close to the city centre which would be comfortable and a general search found us booking this one. **Getting there...** Address: 42 the Calls LS2 7EW Leeds It’s always tricky finding somewhere in a new city, so we entered the post code into the sat nav and off we went. The only tricky bit was when we got to the centre, where there are one way streets, but this ...
...it became obvious that it was very close to the centre although in a really quiet area right next to the river, so we parked the car in a parking bay next to the hotel and went to check in. It’s worth noting here that the parking bays are free after 6pm and free all day on a Sunday so although the hotel does get reduced rates for the nearby car parks, if you are there on a Saturday night, it’s worth making use of the parking bays. **First Impressions...** ...
