A quick stay at Quebecs...

Advantages: Wonderfully designed & perfect location
Disadvantages: costly

Quebec's hotel is a boutique townhouse hotel in Leeds. My husband and myself took our first romantic night away here. Our plan was to hit the vibrant lights of the city on the Saturday night along with enjoying the luxury of this gorgeous hotel. This plan was all to change... *Location* Quebec's hotel has brilliant positioning within the centre of Leeds. It is within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and train station. This was one of the ...
...know Leeds too well, therefore, it is always nice to be close to the amenities and transport links. *First impressions & check in* When entering the hotel, the elegance and style of the hotel are immediately apparent. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very eager to help. The decor is classic and premium and the furnishings are very comfortable. The reception desk is on the ground level , next to the Oak sweeping staircase and underneath the large ...

Ohh La La!

Advantages: Very posh
Disadvantages: Pricey

What a hotel! Its very up market adn really quite expensive. My husband and I have stayed there twice and had business class suites each time. The hotel is located in the heart of Leeds city centre, in the retail entertainment complex of The Light. There are 107 standard rooms, and 40 luxurious business class rooms, all uniquely desinged and fully equipped inc. hair dryers, towels, Tv, slippers etc. The standard rooms have 3 designs to choose from ...
...have been designed with pure luxury in mind and including free use of the Esporta health club. The resturaunt and bar are offering guests the choice to relax with a meal and drinks by the fireplace in the upper section or to dine formally in the lower section, the Lounge Restaurant and Bar provides a menu that puts emphasis on fresh food. An extensive wine list and a choice of creative cocktails add to the individuality of the Lounge, which provides ...

Review of Radisson SAS Hotel, Leeds

A grand northern experience

Advantages: rooms - service- pool -
Disadvantages: maybe slightly pricey

...and is owned by the De Vere group. We were looking for a peaceful retreat whilst on an overdue visit to Leeds to catch up with some friends and this hotel being only ten miles from the centre of Leeds seemed to fit what we were looking for perfectly. *Arrival & check in* After a long drive from Oxfordshire up to Leeds, we were very happy to reach our destination. The elegant driveway spans past the golf course as it winds up to the grand old house. ...
...English sophistication. The gardens and floral displays are excellently cared for and planned and the architecture of Oulton Hall itself is breathtaking. A large marble lobby is awaiting us after we walk through the door that the concierge eagerly holds open. The hotel from its first appearance has a huge impact of something grand and very special. The reception area is large and clean with fast, efficient and friendly reception staffs whom were ...

Good Hotel to Stay in City Center but...

Advantages: Close to City Center, Budget Hotel, Free Breakfast
Disadvantages: No free internet, Not much Value for Money, Uncleanliness with some services

I booked this hotel for my stay in Leeds as I wanted to stay in the city center. I have been staying in various hotels, so I had some expectations from this one as well. When you want to choose any hotel, you have few criteria in mind. I would like to write on the criteria I had in my mind, so you can take this review as per your need. Quality of hotel service: It was satisfactory, not exceptional but not bad too. Condition or maintenance of the ...
...smell (like the one when the area is closed for long time), the breakfast sitting area was clean BUT, the cutlery was not clean. I had to wipe the spoons and forks I used. They clearly were not cleaned properly. Cleanliness of room: but the rooms were maintained alright. The bathrooms were clean, but you don't get to see posh bathrooms. Comfort of room: I did not like the beds (they were spring beds, and for me, they cause back pain). The TV was ...

Review of Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre, Leeds

Holiday Inn Express Leeds the way to good service.

Advantages: Excellent self-service breakfast. Clean rooms and good facilities.
Disadvantages: Rooms are a bit too small generally. Bit expensive.

...I always book into the Holiday Inn Express, chiefly because it is the closest hotel to where I need to be. Within this review I refer to my last experience of staying there about 10 months ago. Outside the building doesn't look too attractive, and the entrance is a bit basic with its blue doors and plants. However, when you make your way through the doors, the lobby is much more impressive. As I approached the counter to sign in, I was greeted by ...
...I had already booked so it was just a matter of signing the piece of paper and taking my key card for my room. I was on the 6th of its 7 floors and being rather lazy, decided to take one of the 2 lifts they have. The corridor I travelled down to my room is rather luxurious, and lacks the certain cheap and tacky atmosphere that other hotels seem to adopt. The carpet and walls were of high quality and very clean. Bearing these standards in mind, I ...
