Good Hotel to Stay in City Center but... Advantages: Close to City Center, Budget Hotel, Free Breakfast Disadvantages: No free internet, Not much Value for Money, Uncleanliness with some services I booked this hotel for my stay in Leeds as I wanted to stay in the city center. I have been staying in various hotels, so I had some expectations from this one as well. When you want to choose any hotel, you have few criteria in mind. I would like to write on the criteria I had in my mind, so you can take this review as per your need. Quality of hotel service: It was satisfactory, not exceptional but not bad too. Condition or maintenance of the ... ...smell (like the one when the area is closed for long time), the breakfast sitting area was clean BUT, the cutlery was not clean. I had to wipe the spoons and forks I used. They clearly were not cleaned properly. Cleanliness of room: but the rooms were maintained alright. The bathrooms were clean, but you don't get to see posh bathrooms. Comfort of room: I did not like the beds (they were spring beds, and for me, they cause back pain). Quality Hotel Selby Fork Advantages: Good room and amenities Disadvantages: evening meal poor and disorganised Visited for one night stay on February 23rd along with my wife and another couple. We were very happy with the room and anyone taking children will enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool along with other amenities. Unfortunately the couple with us had two single beds pushed together which made for an uncomfortable night for them. Also some rather loud clanging during the night presumably from the water pipes or air conditioning system. When it came ... ...time we got to the front of a rather chaotic queue there was no pork left and we got an unenthusiastic reply that no more was to come out. No carrots or peas etc, just undercooked cauliflower and broccoli. Leeds Hilton...like most Hiltons Advantages: The Room Disadvantages: The concierge ...you would expect from the Hilton really. The room temperature was easily adjusted, even if the heater fan was a bit noisy when it was turned up. The bed was very comfortable as expected with about 8 pillows just for the two of us. Sweet stay in Sweet Street Advantages: Position, Cleanliness, Most of the staff Disadvantages: Reception staff could be a bit friendlier, room colours ~~Reasons for choosing this hotel~~ The business I had to visit is literally across the road, near the M1/M62 junction and, having stayed here before overnight, I thought it was a decent option for a two night business stay. ~~Booking~~ The Bewleys website, is very easy to navigate and when I selected the Leeds hotel out of the 6 hotels available and put in the required dates I was presented with a list of the available rooms. I had to book for ... ...which are thankfully still available at this hotel. I chose twin rooms as there were no standard doubles listed and twins are advertised as having a double and single bed. The room rate was £79.00 per night plus breakfast at £6.95. ~~Arrival~~ We accessed the hotel via the lift (there are also stairs) from the secure underground car park (£6 per day for guests) which has two floors and a good proportion of disabled spaces near the lift. Queens hotel Home away from home Advantages: excellent services comfortable rooms and great location. Disadvantages: Too high prices Queens hotel is one of the best hotels in Leeds and also the oldest hotel in Leeds. After the refurbishment that took place a couple of years ago the Queens hotel now has 217 rooms. The rooms are really good and comfortable and the quality of service provided is excellent. The rooms are well furnished and also very comfortable. The rooms can cost about £100 pounds per night unless you get a last minute deal on sundays especially when the hotel is ... ...in the heart of the city right next to the train station and a few mins away from the Leeds Bradford airport. The main plus point of the hotel is the location of the hotel. There is a newly refurbished restaurant in the basement of the hotel.
