Bibi's restaurant - safe choice, but that is it

Advantages: live music, safe food, good cocktails
Disadvantages: hard to find, can be expensive, sometimes slow service.

Bibi's restaurant in Leeds is a good place for a meal or drink, but by no means exceptional. Once you have found it, which is a difficult enough task in itself, it is a well lit welcoming exterior. It is worth knowing the street name if you are traveling by taxi, as my driver had no idea where the restaurant was. It is a very large restaurant inside and important to get there early to ensure you get a good table, otherwise you'll end up in a dark ...
...to be honest it is little more than the typical 'pizza and pasta'. The staff, when I was there, were fairly unresponsive and there was a considerable delay from drinks to food to paying the bill! This is coming across rather negative, but that is not the intention. It is simply a safe choice of restaurant in leeds, that serves good food and an excellent (but expensive cocktail). Overall, I was neither wowed by the food or shocked by the price - it ...

Evo Nights!!

Advantages: Saturday nights
Disadvantages: Victim of its own success

Evolution is not a restaurant as the Ciao category states, but a nightclub is situated outside of Leeds city centre on an industrial park on Kirkstall Road, Leeds, along with a cinema, bowling alley, pub and Virgin Gym. Evolution is a firm favourite with Leeds students, especially on a Saturday!!! There are also student nights during the week, particularly on a Monday. But it is the Saturday night that it is the most popular. Evolution is huge! ...
...main room (room 1) plays cheese and student anthems, it also has a stage where "celebrity" guests such as David Dickinson and Elvis impersonators make special appearances! This is the biggest room, with seating around the perimeter of the room and has 2 bars - both of which get very busy. There is a also a big television screen which you can text messages to - particularly good when it's one of your friend's birthdays. There is also an upstairs area ...

Absolutely Fabulous

Advantages: Classy and indulgent
Disadvantages: A little indulgent price wise

...I will head off to Epernay pretending to be Patsy and Edina (I'm always Patsy) for a sophisticated evening of sipping Champagne and gossiping whilst eating continental cheese. We will get merrily drunk on bubbles and act like ladies for a whole evening, well…….until we start shouting at the taxi driver on the way home for overcharging us. So let me tell you about this little place where you can find my posh friend and I being Absolutely Fabulous…. ...
...quiz.  Epernay is a town surrounded by vines in the heart of the champagne-Ardenne region of France. (I love letting other people paddle in my fountain of useless knowledge) How Do I Get In? The bar is entranced through an archway into the courtyard (from Great George Street) Upon entering the courtyard you are welcomed with a classy but comfortable seating area edged in beautiful greenery. You can take a seat outside or head into the ...

The Cod,the bad and the ugly

Advantages: Fish reasonable
Disadvantages: it was open

I really like fish and chips and mushy peas and thus i assumed that Guiseley should be some sort of Mecca.Last June i was on my way to York from London and took a detour. The feeling of rabid, saliva inducing, yearning and hunger had me in a Pavlovian spell, which was somewhat apposite because what i was served with was a right dog's dinner. The fish was quite good, however the chips were an absolute disgrace;flaccid, tepid and old,i left nearly all of ...
...tatare sauce wasn't tart and the whole thing was topped of with a dismal view of a horrible car park. When asked by the nice waitress if i had enjoyed the meal,i don't think she expected the bollocking i gave it.She kindly knocked of the chips! If you like fish and chips do not waste your time on this place. ...

"This Is A Lovely Place! Best Cafe This Side Of Yorkshire!"

Advantages: Just Read The Review, Basically!
Disadvantages: Too Small To Fit In All Their (Many) Fans..., There Is Only One Of Them In The World!

The title of this review is part of a little speech I heard a very happy customer make to the owner of The Pink Teapot, and I completely agree with it! In A Nutshell The Pink Teapot is an amazing retro (and you know how I love my retro places!) cafe in the market-town of Otley. It sells freshly made little treats such as scones, caramel shortbread and more, scrumptious drinks (aah, that hot chocolate...), paninis, butties with locally-produced ...
...and more...and the best thing is, it is sold with a smile (you also know how picky I am about customer service!) The Good Everything! As soon as you walk through the door you are met by a group of the nicest people of Otley, who give you a smile and a wave (if they're busy) or a little chat if they're not too busy. If you look down to your left you will see a cute little board with 'messages' from famous people who have supposedly 'visited' ...
