These are just a few of the more hfrequently talked about permanent residents of Leceister Square. They're the big-time Clubs. What can I say about these clubs? Perhaps some of them are more hype than anything else but you really have got to see for yourself because of how varied each individual's tastes are. You can definitely not cover all of Leceister Square in one night or one day unless you are an overcrazed efficient ... ...at least 3 days soaking up the people, the clubs, the bars, the restaurants and the international community that hangs around it. I suppose the large variety of clubs and pubs available at the area pulls in quite a large international crowd that makes it all the more appealing. Anyhow, the ODEON is also loacted close by and there is a ticket booth that makes sales of tickets that are at half price for performanes at The Strand or at some of the Theatres ...

Advantages: central with easy access and bustling Disadvantages: Difficult with young children
Leicester Square. Whatever you do don't visit during the day. It is uninteresting and drab. Save your visit for ealy evening when it comes alive and be prepared to stay for the rest of the night.
You will be very lucky to find a taxi and it is not worth the effort. Use the tube or bus. It is cheaper and all part of the London atmosphere. When you get there just walk around and soak up the atmosphere. You will see street performers, artists happy ... ...you can eat as much as you like. Where? In Leiester Square itself. Still bored? Well there is still the theatre where late seats are often available or the latest movies from the main London cinemas.
Leicester Square at night is a must for every visitor to London ...

Advantages: a great night out Disadvantages: no toilet facilities
...i was first told about leicester square by a good friend who visited london a lot. she used to hang out there with another group of friends who loved to have a great night out.
this was simply more than i expected it to be. i llike the food and the people and there are so many things to see and buy. one bad thing though, go to a toilet before you go there. hard to find a toilet and the stupid cinema won't allow you to use the bathroom unless you ...

Advantages: Fun, full of life. Disadvantages: Does get very busy with people!
Leicester Square is the place to be if you want 24 hour fun! Every time I visit London, one of the first places I head for is Leicester Square. There's cinemas's (2 Odion's!), cafe's, bars, restaurants (McDonalds). You name it, it's there! If you want to sit and relax for a while, that's fine! There's plenty going on to see from the comfort of your chair! The people alone are sometimes strange and wonderful. I very often see buskers there trying ... ...is also not far from Leicester Square. I could tell you about China Town, but that's a different story altogether!
Be warned, it is expensive. Although it isn't a necessity to spend money here, you probably will be paying over the odds for a cup of tea. I bought 2 cups of tea and was charged over £2 for them! Although, if you look around, there are small places down the side streets which charge less.
It's a fun place to visit, especially for the ...

Advantages: Fast food Disadvantages: Unhealthy food and bad service
...Sometimes I wonder why people in London work in such a hurry...they walk in a hurry, eat in a hurry. No wonder the Mcdonalds in LeicesterSquare and Chinatown are always packed with business. The most unforgettable experience I had in any Mcdonalds was the service of a girl in the Mcdonalds in Chinatown. She was not very helpful and extremely rude to me and my friend when we ordered two meals and asked to have some tomato ketchup. Without answering our questions, she told the next customer to move forward and ignore our presence. Besides that, it is extremely difficult to find seats there. Since I came to UK two years ago, I hardly go to Mcdonalds now. Firstly, the service is generally bad. The seats are not cleared as fast as they could to allow more customers to come in. The toilets are not working properly. And the meals...

Advantages: reasonable prices Disadvantages: average staff, unchanging menu
..., are alright but not perfect.
The ambience of each of these Bella's is the same - if you want an example try to tell the difference between the two in LeicesterSquare! But then again, it's no worse than a pizza hut or express pizza in that respect. I ate Bella in London because I was on a budget and the prices are always at Pizza Hut levels without the place being quite as common as even the most upmarket Pizza Hut seems.
Overall, service is usually average, food on the good side of average, the menu fairly steady and the bill reasonably light. If you want a really cracking Italian treat in London then look for Tuttons in Covent Garden - whilst ludicrously expensive and not a through-and-through Italian, they will cook you whatever you like and their Italian dishes are heaven. Bella Pasta is mass-Italian on a budget, but fits the market...

Advantages: good atmosphere, state of art sound Disadvantages: expensive tickets
...The Odeon LeicesterSquare is Europe's biggest cinema and world famous. It has the highest seating capacity in the UK (2000 seats), but the Empire LeicesterSquare does have a biiger screen area. This theatre is equipped with Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES and SDDS 8 channel sound. It also has DLP (digital light projection) film projectors. I have heard films in Dolby and SDDS 8 in this theatre and they all sounded amazing. The last film I saw was Terminator 3 and it looked great (shame it wasn't in DLP) and sounded ace in 8 channel SDDS. When the cinema is full there is an amazing atmosphere, its like being at a real play. There is also an organist that appears from below the screen at weekends. The best place to sit is upstairs, the seats are comfy, but offer little leg room.
This is a cinema I go to when I want to see the really big films...
