Over the last year, Ryanair has expanded its network of budget destinations across Europe, particularly in Germany. This museum is dedicated to the somewhat haunting Stasi secret police force that operated during the years of the GDR, 1949-1990. The museum itself is free but any special exhibitions normally carry a small entrance fee of a few euros which is good value for money for what they contain. A good knowledge of German is recommended as there are limited copies of the English guide and this does not translate all labels, merely the main ones.
