Wow!! This was the destination for the first week of my honeymoon. Well, although we didn't see the day for the first few days, the rest was absolute heaven.
The entrance to the hotel was second to none. Having had particulars taken and check in at the 'lower' reception, we were taken to the upper reception behind two large wooden carved doors. As the gentleman opened the two dors, he paused for a moment and uttered......'welcome to Lemuria resort'. As we peered through the staff were lined up and greeted us. The birds singing and the trickle of the waterfall infront of us were barely noticed as the view into the hotel and beyond onto the beaches and crystal clear waters took our breath away. It also set the flood gates open - my wife was in tears!!
The service in this resort is truly spectacular. Every member of staff knows your name and treats you perfectly every time without exception. The rooms are massive, with luxury fixtures and fittings and the veranda leading out to the beach.
If you are one for sport, there is tennis, sailing, the only 18 hole golf course in the Seychelles, scuba, snorkelling and lots of board games. The kit is all there for you to hire/ borrow and they will always make sure you are refreshed with whatever drinks you require.
The 2nd most beautiful beach in the world is found in the hotel grounds. Unmanned and perfectly secluded this beach is heaven - but remember the sunscreen as with no umbrella and baking sun you can get caught out. If you do get hot though there is an opportunity to relax beneath palm trees and for a price the picnic served with a table and cloth on the beach is a must.
For a luxurious hotel with a mixture of activity, relaxation and 4 first class restaurants - Lemuria resort is the one for honeymoon or holiday.
