Advantages: Great format and illustrations. Disadvantages: Too short
♦♦♦ Content and Format ♦♦♦
This is aimed at very young, pre-school / nursery age children, given that it is board book format - a firm favourite as little hands can turn the pages themselves without accidentally damaging the pages.
The concept is based on 'little windows', beginning with the front cover. There is a rectangular shaped section cut out of the front cover and indeed each page, with a transparent window placed in this section. On each 'window' there is a picture, almost like a 'transfer' of the duck, her ducklings and some of the animals that they meet on their journey.
The front cover invites the reader to ??.'Follow the fluffy ducklings?.. On the pond'.
The three ducklings waddle down to the pond, informing their mother that they are off to explore?. On their journey they ...
Advantages: Light easily absorbed cream Disadvantages: May not be creamy enough for really dry skin
Ponds Day Cream
As far as moisturizer is concerned it's another product to which I have absolutely no brand loyalty; I must have incredibly tough skin because nothing seems to irritate it!
So, I decided to try this one out because I needed moisturizer, and it was "there".
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING

The cream itself is a white, lightly perfumed cream which is not especially thick, and which is absorbed easily by the skin. It appears to be non greasy; I say this because I am not left with a layer of cream on my face, but rather, the cream rub easily into my skin without a trace.
A real plus is that the cream is SPF6 and includes UVA and UVB filters, so it does provide some sun protection, although I wouldn't advocate using it ...
Advantages: quiet resort, off the beaten track Disadvantages: may struggle in this accommodation if no car
St Sorlin d'Arves
St Sorlin is part of the Les Sybelles ski circuit, situated in the Maurienne Valley. Les Sybelles offers 310 km of linked piste and St Sorlin has 120km and the highest point at 2620m. The whole Les Sybelles area is relatively undiscovered by the British market, and very quiet, we went the first week of Jan 2008 and never once queued for a lift. In fact at certain times we were the only ones on the piste!
The main resorts to stay in are Le Corbier, La Toussuire and St Sorlin, although there are a handful of other smaller villages. St Sorlin is by far the prettiest village with traditional buildings, ramshackle old farms and a 17th century baroque church. Very quaint, but also fairly quiet with not a lot of apres ski. Le Corbier and La Toussuire are pretty ugly resorts with high rise buildings but seem to have more ...
