I had seen the Dune shop in my local shopping centre many many times but had never even been tempted to look in there as all I had seen in the window was smart black leather shoes. I already have a comfortable pair of these which I hardly ever use so, as far as I'm concerned, there really was no need for me to take a look at what was on offer. One day late last year, however, I was walking past the store and a nice pair of brown casual shoe-come-trainers caught my attention. They were so different to anything I had ever seen elsewhere. I just had to have a closer inspection... I've got no problem admitting that I have a problem when it comes to footwear. I like anything I put on my feet to look clean and fresh. dune shoes

Advantages: great shoes
Disadvantages: pricey

I am a typical female i have around 80 pairs of shoes some i have never even worn before, but the collection just keeps on growing and i do not think that any shoe collection would be the same without shoes from Dune. Dune is a shoe shop that i love, it is unfortunatley not a shoe shop that is in every town but you tend to find them in the bigger shopping centres. Dune is a shop that sell all different styles of shoes it stocks a small variety of mens shoes, but when it comes to womens they take over the shop. From boots to sandals to Stiletto's you are spoilt for choice and with such a wide variety of colours you will always finds a pair of shoes for every occassion. Dune, desert planet

Advantages: Looks great
Disadvantages: Super complex plot

Dune, a movie based on a series of science fiction books by Frank Herbert which are about a feudal power struggle which spans galaxies. This struggle revolves around production of a spice called Melange which can only be found on one planet in the known Universe, the planet Arrakis which is also known as Dune due to it being a desert planet where it never rains. The spice allows its users to see the future and fold space allowing faster than light interstellar travel. Visuals in the movie come from the mind of production designer Mobius (second only to H.R. Geiger in his ability to make warped creations) so you have him to thank for the designs of all the planets and aliens based on Herberts original book ideas. Most of the film was shot in Mexico (doubling for the planet Arrakis) and the film had quite a broad cast including Sting ...
