When it comes to beauty products I can be quite fickle, one week I?ll be raving about one product and the next it?s found its place in the back of my product shelf next to last months favourite! So when a product managed to get itself on my Necessary list (and this is the list I?d sacrifice food to make sure I had supplies of everything from it!) it says an awful lot as I really am very demanding about my products; I want perfect results for as small a price as possible! So what is the resident body moisturiser on the Necessary list? It has to be Palmer?s Cocoa Butter Formula!
I pride myself on having the best skin of anyone I know, which may sound vain, but with the effort I put in I feel I have the right to boast about how my skin is the softest and healthiest looking I know and as a result I only want the best for it and in this ...
Advantages: Body butter, moisturises, smoothens, softens, gorgeous scent, good value for money Disadvantages: None
I have been using 'Palmers Cocoa Butter' on and off for many years. Palmers Cocoa Butter retails for about £4 - £4.99 for the 270g pack. I buy mine at the local beauty shop and have also bought it in Superdrug previously..
It comes in a large white opaque round jar with a white screw top cover with the words 'Palmer's' in an orange caption and the 'Cocoa Butter Formula' in white letters with a brown caption box..
The rest of the jar has words 'with Vitamin E' and 'Heals & Softens rough, Dry skin' and 'Smoothes Marks & Scars' on the front.
The product itself is a dark cream (almost yellow) body butter with a smooth feel. Palmers Cocoa Butter has a sweet noticeable coconut scent on opening the jar and this scent remains long after application to the skin.
It contains Cocoa extract, Mineral Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter, Fragrance ...
Advantages: smell, texture and v moisturising Disadvantages: a bit heavy to use every single day
I am brand loyal, not strictly mind..i do like to go wild and try new things every now and again but i always come back to firm favourites and one of those being the palmer's cocoa butter formula with vitamin e.
The bottle is a simple white colour of 250ml's...with a sky blue label on the front with the palmer's orange tag and claims on the front to soften, smooth and relieve dry skin. The blurb at the back tells me it also helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and is an excellent after tanning butter..
wow so thats a lot of claims from one small white ordinary bottle but i can truly say it lives up to all those promises and more.. the actualy colour is a yellow-orange and the consistency is pretty thick like some hair conditioners can be but its also suprisingly light and absorbs into the skin in a matter of minutes. It smoothens ...
