A secular essay on Liberia... Liberia is a beautiful republic with a fascinating history, based on the repatriation of slaves from America mixing with the old tribesmen. She is in west Africa, sitting next to Sierra Leone and Guinea to the north, Côte d'Ivoire to the east and Atlantic Ocean to the south west. Basic information for visitors to Liberia

Advantages: None (only on business)
Disadvantages: Electricity and Water Shortages, War Torn country

Airport Robertsfield International Airport is about 80 kms from Monrovia city center. It is recommended that you have someone your know receive you at the airport. A departure tax of US$20.00 is payable by all international passengers. There is another smaller airport just 8 Kms from the city center called Springs Payne Aiport and this is used for some West African flights and domestic flights.
