...I went to Paris for the weekend last summer with my girlfriend and had a great time. It soon became clear that almost every major attraction offers amazing panoramic views over Paris and the ArcdeTriomphe is no exception. It is one of the most famous monuments in Paris and fronts many postcards.
The ArcdeTriomphe is at the western end of the Champs-Elysees; a sight in itself. The arch is a tribute of respect to those that have fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic wars. It was designed by Jean Chalgrin in 1806; his work was taken on by Huyon in 1811 when Chalgrin sadly died. However, the monument was not completed until 1836 by Goust and Huyot. Advantages: It's the height of fashion daaahhhling Disadvantages: It's ability to be tres expensive
...It's no secret that I like expensive things, so when my partner told me we were going to Paris for a weekend, I was beside myself with excitement and worry. Ok, with a destination such as Paris you can't really go wrong, but when you've got a partner like mine, the choice of hotel can leave a lot to be desired. (Like the time we went to Thailand and he thought it would be great to live in a hut for a week with the local wildlife. Not funny)
However, he decided he would keep it a secret until we arrived. As we drove along Rue de Coucelles, it became very apparent that he had made the correct choice. A massive "Hilton" sign appeared in view, and my excitement trebelled. It is a very massive and inspiring building, spanning 7 floors of sheer opulence.

I stayed in this hotel the second time i visited this city.There are 25 rooms,all en-suite ,single,double and twin.
**Location/Getting there**
This hotel is located very near the arcdetriomphe and down one of the streets is a shuttle bus service which will take you to the airports,both Charles De Gauile and Orily.It is also near a metro stop and a taxi rank.This is how long it will take you to get to te hotel from the following places
From the Champs Elysées : 10 minutes walk
From the Palais des Congres : 10 minutes walk
From Opera : Direct access by the ligne number 3(2 minute walk).
**Reception/staff**
I didn't think that this looked very impressive.There was apparently a bar but this was an area with two seats and small work top.Unimpressed.Checking in was okay...
