Advantages: It's all inclusive, good music, toilets are fairly clean Disadvantages: Gets too packed, some of the people can be annoying.

Satan's Hollow in Manchester supported this. So did the Grafton in Liverpool. Liberty's however is actually different.
From the outside it looks quite tidy. It's located over the car park from TFI Friday's in Hagley Road and in a ... ...other. I can describe it, they just do. So when you get into the club you pay £15 unless you're a member (me and Little Miss Evil, my fiancée are) in which case you can usually use the cheaper entry vouchers they send you each month. From the outside it looks quite tidy. It's located over the car park from TFI Friday's in Hagley Road and in a weird way the two of them seem to complment each other. I can describe it, they just do. So when you get into the club you pay £15 unless you're a member (me and Little Miss Evil, my fiancée are) in which case you can usually use the cheaper entry vouchers they send you each month. Depending on what time you get there, you're then either ushered into the lounge (which is kind of like a plush quiet area if you need to chill out) or just left to either go into the lounge or along the marble corridor to the main dancefloor. If you get there before 10pm or so it's usually the lounge.
What appeals about Liberty's is the decor. It's not seedy or tacky. Mainly red sofas and low seats that are faily comfortable and mock marble tables and bars. Their are two dancefloors. The main one upstairs has 5 bars (4 drinks bars and a champagne and cocktail bar) that run around it and this plays the usual charty club tunes. They even have a podium with a pole on it for the wannabe pole dancers. Head downstairs and you go into the cheese zone. Down here you have one bar and a smaller (but still pretty large) dancefloor with a lot of seating. This is where they play anything from the 60's up to the present day cheese. If you're meeting up with friends this is the best place as you can see people a lot easier.
As I've said the drinks are free and the only real problem is getting served at the bar. At the start of the night it's pretty straight forward. You hand over your card (creditied with 8 drinks to start with) and they put it in the card reader and adjust the total before giving you your drink. You can only get one drink at a time and no you can't take your friend's cards with you and get two. They don't allow it and thats fair enough. The drinks are mainly the cheaper versions of stuff like WKD and beers etc, and thats not too bad as it tastes the same and has the same effect. If you run out of drinks then you simply go back to the foyer and they top up your card. This is at their discretion and if you're absolutely plastered then they will refuse, but if you're fairly sober then they will top them up.
The toilets aren't too bad either. There are 3 toilets dotted around the place, but the main ones are on the marble corrdior. They're pretty clean and do get given a quick once over a couple of time a night. These have the perfume vendors in them. You can give the guys a couple of quid and they will spray you with your chosen fragrance. These are all the big names in fragrance and not the cheap cloned tat.
One problem is the fact that it's all inclusive. You do get the odd idiot here and there who get tanked up and either pay you unwanted attention (especially if you're female) and will sometimes not take a subtle hint or the ones get tanked up and then up for a fight. This is no worse than any other club really, but it does happen and then the bouncers come storming through. The bouncers are actually pretty well trained and they generally jump on you, restrain you and take you out the front and tell you to go away. This makes a change from jumping on you, restraining you and then taking you out the back and throwing you down the concrete steps several times and then arranging for an ambulance. Most of the people are friendly enough and as long as you're not out for trouble you don't get any.
Watch out for membership promotions. They're worth it if you plan to go a lot. You get a gold card which allows you to queue jump sometimes and you also get vouchers for cheaper entrance and priority entrance. I would recommend getting there before 10pm though as the club does get very busy and the queue gets pretty big later on.
Overall? A pretty good place if you want a cheap night out and a good atmosphere.
Advantages: elegance, a bit of social indulgence, good music, good choice of 3 course meals Disadvantages: Money, or rather the lack of it after only one round of drinks
Liberties is a very classy place just off the Hagley Road leading into the centre of Birmingham.
It makes no apologies for being slightly elitist & aloof and even though the entrance fee and bar prices are excessive you really do feel the quality not only in the decour but also the quality of music, food & drink available.
I've only ever visited Liberties once and that was last Christmas on a Company outing but even then it was an expensive night ... ...prices were, to be honest, a bit of a rip off.
Anyway, once bitten twice shy, and I've been asked (quite nicely) to organise another Christmas function at the same place. I think one reason why we chose Liberties is that it differs so much from the standard NC; you do get treated like someone special rather than just a lager lout or grubby little oik. But then again with the money we're paying we wouldn't expect anything less.
Liberties is quite ...
