i live in Lichfield and have lived here all my life, its a pleasant place to live with many tourist attractions. Some good shops and places to eat and drink.

Lichfield is situated in the centre of England near small cities such as Tamworth, Sutton and the closest big city is Birmingham. Birmingham is around a half an hour car journey away from Lichfield. Also you could catch a train to get to Birmingham from one of two stations in Lichfield, (Trent Valley and City). Lichfield city centre is a nice area with many shops for all ages, shops for kids like Woolworths, early learning centre, WHSmiths. Shops for sports like JD, Alpha sports, gilesports . Shops for girls like Claire's, new look. There are many places to eat as well including a McDonalds and subway and plenty of cafes. there are a cast majority of take-aways including Chinese, Indian, Thai and pizza !

for the tourist there is a beautiful cathedral which is a must see for any visitor. Also Lichfield is the birthplace of Samuel Johnson(creator of the first dictionary) and you can visit his house.

over the next 7 years they are planning a huge development for Lichfield including building a cinema, department store and underground multi story car park.
