Advantages: Charming hotel in a beautiful location Disadvantages: tiny bathroom
...Hotel Villa Laguna was so easy to find. Take the Vaporetto number 1 to the Lido, and then the hotel is just along to the right of the vaporetto stop. As soon as you walk into the hotel, it's like stepping back in time to a little Venetian palace. Everything is so ornate and beautifully decorated. The staff are great , so friendly and helpful - they were able to book all our excursions and restaurants for us and gave us advice on everything we needed. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the hotel, but they have a lift, so no problem. Our room had a dining and sitting area with a small kitchenette. There was a separate bedroom with a large double bed and plenty of space. The room was full of character with sloped ceiling and original beams. The only downside was that the bath was tiny and you could not stand up in it because...

Advantages: Absolutely beautiful Disadvantages: Too much to take in.
...The palace of the 'Roi Soleil', Louis XIV, is a thing of splendour, majesty and pomp, definitely not to be omitted from your tour of France.

...Venice has so many good reasons to visit, There is a vast array of outstanding elaborate architectures, Bridges and its network of canals.
Don't forget the Camera.
I visited Venice whilst I was on holiday at a nearby resort of Lidode Jesolo, there is a daily ferry service leaving on the hour from the resort to Venice, I personally found this the best option, as I wouldn't of liked to stay in Venice itself as a holiday base. (To Busy).
On arrival in Venice Harbour, I found the best route was a left hand turn, heading towards St, Marks Square, If unsure just follow the crowds, most are heading in that direction.
Again first photo opportunity soon arrives as you cross the second bridge looking towards the town side there is the famous Bridge of Sighs which links the palace to the prison. The bridge is named after the sighs...
