Advantages: large selection of conference rooms for businesses Disadvantages: no entertainment for those not in a conference,
I stayed at the Ramada Hotel and ConferenceCenter, Edmonton, for 18 days in October. The stay was not a comfortable one. The check in counter was lined up upon arrival, and always appears to be lined up. The Elevators are ODD. You never know what will happen when you get in one when it finally shows up at your floor. The beds are hard. I was put on a waiting list for a fridge and in the 18 days never received a fridge. The wireless internet was unstable, sometimes allowing me to hook up, sometimes shutting down in the middle of an email. It advertised as wireless but I had to use the cable the majority of the time. There is only two washers and two dryers (that take up to two hours to dry one load), which seems inadequate for the number of rooms in the hotel. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant are somewhat unprofessional ...
Advantages: Great songs, lyrics included, cheap price Disadvantages: Too short!! (I jest)
When i started listening to Springsteen just over a year ago, I thought it best to listen to purchase his back catalogue in chronological order. Nebraska was his 6th release and came after his most successful album to date in The River.
Every review promised it to be a stark, dak, deeply depressing take on American life. This did not fill be with great anticipation, as Hungry Heart was still doing the rounds in my head, however, i was in for a great surprise.
Basically the album is great. It's definitley not one to play when a party's in full swing, but if you have time to sit down and take in the music and it's message then without a doubt you'll be surprised at the depth and range of Springsteen's songwriting capabilities.
It's particularly relevant in the current economic situation. I'll bet anyone and everyone that they ...
Advantages: Cheap, good location. Disadvantages: shareing toilet and shower,
made from plastic, which left the floor slippery and very dangerous.
The location of the hotel is ideal, oppiste the albert docks, in the heart of the citycenter close to all the shops, clubs, pubs and the river mersy.
Th only food court i encounted was the coke vending machine, coffee vending machine and a little bar style table next to them. For hot food i was recommened by the stewart manning the reception to use the pizza leaflets pinned up on the wall. Being a fan of pizza though i was ok with this. They even come up right to your door with the pizza.
During the night i didnt get much sleep, as hotels this cheap are used for clubbers who stop over in the city, so means that all hours through the night there is alot of people in and out of the corridors drunk, poeple getting a shower, passing your door every so often ...
