Life Café Bar is a smashing little place - very trendy, beautifully decorated. It's got it all! This bar is mainly standing room only although there are a few lounge type seats around the edges and there is limited seating upstairs on the small mezzanine level. The décor is modern and sumptuous. In the Café there is a large tree adorned with fairy lights. It really is good!
There is a great selection of drinks and cocktails. One in ... ...glasses. There's easily enough for ten or twelve. It costs £30 or you can gamble and pick one of three cards that will decide the price. This can be free, £30 or £60. It always seems like a good idea after a few drinks but it all adds to the excitement!
This bar does get crowded and so it can take a while to get served at times. That's the price you pay for popularity! It's a great place - give it a try!!

Advantages: Restaurant, Bar and Club all uner one big roof. Disadvantages: It's on Peter Street - the other bars in the area are a bit umm... hmm...
When you first step out of YOUR Life and into that of LifeCafe, the first thing that grabs you... literally... is one of the hosts. It's a rare thing these days to be greeted when you walk into a bar. Still, there they are with a welcoming smile. Restaurant or Bar? Lets assume you're off to the bar. No sooner have you pulled up a stool that a barman at'chya. And they are honest to god - really friendly behind that bar. No snoobery. No pretentious types. Just friendly service.
That is what I find is lacking in bars these days. I mean, LifeCafe is up there with the rest of the plush high-soceity bars. Gorgeous interrior, 90 cocktails on the menu, fabulous restaurant, and a jazz funk bar downstairs. STILL, Life doesn't hold on to the snobbery that is normally go's hand in hand with this kind of venue.

Advantages: Good variety of bars and shops, easily accesible, good atmosphere Disadvantages: Some shop prices are quite high
's largest recreation areas lie directly off Ecclesall Road. These are the Botanical Gardens, Endcliffe Park and in my opinion one of Sheffield's finest little gems, the Sheffield General Cemetery.
Ecclesall Road is within easy walking distance of the city centre, leading off from the bottom of one of the main pedestrianised shopping areas known as The Moor. From here a subway crosses under the busy dual carriageway, St Mary's Gate and as you come up for air at the other side, you have arrived at the bottom of Ecclesall Road.
The first thing that you will quickly notice is that there is a very lively street life, many of the café's and bars have tables and chairs that spill out onto the pavement and especially during the summer months, there is an almost Mediterranean ambiance.
The Pamona is a popular bar that is found at the end ...

Fourth Floor. There are Mexican eateries, good Italian restaurants, Thai, Japanese and Indian haunts and a number of first-rate cafebars. Barlife in Leeds is also lively and the area around the Coin Exchange is replete with good bars.
