Advantages: Disadvantages:

The DJs were playing a dreadful mish-mash of all kinds of styles which chopped and changed in a random fashion. One minute you could be listening to early nineties dance and the next minute a fast Latin tune. The people there seemed to be mainly foreign tourists and no one ...

As you can see my alias is AshNYC so I thought I should write a review on NewYork.
We all know New York from comics like Spider-Man and Television programmes like Friends but I want to put across the real New York the New York that is a thriving metropolis bursting full of lifeNew York is truly ‘The City That Never Sleeps’. ...Bored of spending long University summer holidays stuck at home working as a waitress or barmaid I decided to head off to the Big Apple to find some adventure. And let me tell you, I had the best summer of my life. I found a job in Camp Na Sho Pa, a children's summer camp set in the New York State country side. I spent 9 weeks at camp and boy was it tough, but so rewarding and our days off were filled with adventure.
The camp was situated about 2 hours north of New York City. From there we had easy access into Bloomingberg, a middle-sized town which had a great mall with cimema. A 2 hours bus ride took us into the centre of New York City. It was one of the best experiences of my life. New York City is so fantastic that I can't even describe it with words. It's definately an experience in itself. An 8 hour journey from Bloomingberg...

The New Yorker is in an excellent midtown location with the subway (lines A, C & E) literally steps outside. Being on the corner of 8th Avenue and 34th Street this meant good access to Macy's, Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens and the... more
Postmodernism, eh? It's a funny old bag of fish. Even the holier-than-thou critics don't quite seem to know what it's all about. They argue whether it's
a) a revolt against modernism,
b) a progression of modernism,
c) both of these and more
or d) more
If you want to stay in Central New York then this is the hotel to book. It is actually IN Times Square! It's a huge modern hotel with over 45 floors so some of the views are great. There is a bar at the top which is a lovely place to have a drink,... more
