A long weekend in Appart'City, Lille
Advantages: Price, self-contained professional apartments, high quality accommodation Disadvantages: Slightly cramped, a little way out of town
We booked Appart'City for a 3 night long weekend in July, through Eurostar. At the time we booked, it was one of the cheapest options available. We knew it was a little way out-of-town, in the Madeleine district, but we decided that was an acceptable price to pay to get good quality accommodation at a low price. If you're travelling light, it's easily walkable from Lille Europe, otherwise hop on the red or green tram line (access underground at Lille ... ...the line. We found it difficult to actually find the building, and locals couldn't give us directions - it's not obvious that the building is a hotel, even when you're standing in front of it. Appart'City is basically a modern block of apartments which are probably mostly aimed at business travellers, but also available for tourist breaks. So ... you get none of the quaint traditional architecture you might be looking for, but you do get quality ...

In the very center!
Advantages: location, price Disadvantages: none for me
I have been in this hotel in February 2008 during a short break. I managed to find a Eurostar offer that included the eurostar tickets and the hotel in the same package. I have to say that I didn't expect a high quality hotel for this price but after compare it with the other possibilities I found that this was the best quality/price offer.
When we arrive at Lille, about 9.00 pm it was very easy to find the hotel because its location is perfect. ... ...street with a lot of restaurants and few steps away from the commercial area of the city.
When you enter in the hotel you see that is quite new, on the right hand there is the breakfast room and on the left the reception.
The room was nice, not huge but with enough space, with a table with a kettle (and coffee and tea) and a TV with some international channels. It was clean and there was no noise (our room was in the back of the hotel, so I don't ...

Hotel de la Treille, Lille
Advantages: great position.Everything in walking distance Disadvantages: our room was small
The hotel is in the old part of Lille. everything is in walking distance, even the Eurostar station (only about 5-10 mins on foot)
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfasts had no 'hot' dishes, just lovely French sticks, croissants, pan au chocolate , the usual cold meats & cheese, cereals etc. Tea & coffee out of those big flask things! No bar.
The bedroom was cleaned daily as was the shower/toilet / bath. The only downside ... ...I are not big people, but it really was cramped. There was a balcony , but not a great view (into the next building), though you could see the imposing cathedral which is just behind the hotel. We were unlucky with the room size, others in the hotel were bigger. ...

Quality hotel in a good location.
Advantages: Clean and well maintained, central location Disadvantages: lack of atmosphere
Good quality hotel in an excellent location. I satyed with my family for a couple of nights. A modern hotel in the centre of Lille.
About a 3 minute walk to Grand Place the centre of Lille with its impressive Flemish style architecture. The hotel does not have it's own car park , but uses the public underground car park behind the hotel at a discounted, reasonable rate of 8 euros per day. Although public and underground it seemed well lit a safe.
... ...parts of the hotel were clean and functional.
The rooms were small but were well decorated and comfortable, with tea and coffee amking facilities and mini-bar.
Breakfast was good and children were catered for including free use of a Playstaion in the lobby.
Reception and waiting staff spoke good english and were very curteous and helpful.
The only criticism I have, I did feel that the hotel lacked atmosphere, hardly saw another person during ...

OUTSTANDING! IT'S LIKE A PALACE!!!
Advantages: Everything!! Disadvantages: None what so ever!
::::Intro::::
The Bellevue Hotel is where Mozart stayed. Lille is fabulous. The sights around, the hotel itself, and the views from the hotel. This is a fabulous place to spend the weekend like we did, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Read my review below: ::::Why I Chose This Hotel::::
I did not choose to stay at this hotel. A family member won a competition for a weekend to Lillie - including accommodation at this wonderful hotel. We ... ...went onto google to check out what this hotel was like and how to get there and the images of the hotel were amazing. It looked like a palace at the reception. After many minutes of amazement of winning a trip to Lille and staying at such a lovely looking hotel, we finally started looking for directions - if we didn't get these we wouldn't be going at all. We arranged to stay at Lille in May, as weather would be nice. We normally like going to France ...
