Large spacious hotel with beautiful gardens, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. I stayed in a Superior room for 7 nights in September 2007. The amenities in the room can be compared to an average 2 star hotel - no complimentary bottled water, no hairdryer, and no notepad and pen. The TV channels consisted virtually of sport only and I had to request that at least one channel be allocated to a news channel. When the movie channels were made available, they had picture but no sound. I suspect that the TV channels were set up in accordance with the staff's preferences. Food items on the restuarant menus are very limited with little variety. The breakfast is average. What really put me off and would prevent me from returning is the cockroaches, dirty tableclothes, and dirty cracked plates. The cockroaches were everywhere in my room ...
Advantages: Great place Disadvantages: May be "slow" for some

I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time ...
