"Something of Lima's history"
Talking about Lima, The Peru's goverment hometown, is talking about muy own city that are on the Peru's West Centre in the Coast near the Pacific Ocean that was founded on January 18th, 1535 by the Spanish Francisco Pizarro near the Pachacamac Valley on the Incas time being the Today's Lima's downtown named "Damero de Pizarro" (Pizarro's Chess' field) because its forms seems as Chess' field near the Rimac River (this river born on the Andes going to the Pacific Ocean passing by Lima) having a "Plaza de Armas" (major place) that are near the river on the Lima's downtown west and not on the centre as the King Charles V said on his Real Laws, being the Peru's "power centre", because on the west are the goverment palace, where the actual Peru's President lives and before the Spanish governator, on its right side is the Lima's City Mayor Palace and on its front are the Catholic Cathedral.
Outside of this place lived another Spanish conquerors who came with Pizarro from the today Panama named "Los trece del gallo" (In english means the 13 men of Gallo Island) and some catholics congregations founded their own churches as La Merced or San Francisco churches.
Because Lima suffered Pirates attacks, Lima was locked by a wall for its defense on this first days.
At the midlle of the XVII century Lima was its first demographic growth to the today Rimac distric when having some architure spanish conquest building as "Alameda de Los Descalzos" or Plaza de Acho (The Lima's principal place where there are bullfughtings, and the Barrios Altos (high neighborhoods) when days after the Chinese began to live here.
When Peru independence from Spain its declaration were doing 3 times in Lima by the Argentinian Jose de San Martin on July 28th 1821 begging the Peru Republica's era.
At this time the wall that I talked lines up must crash for a future demographic expansion at the Lima's south, increasing the city to this direction, being the Lima's downtown onb the today's Lima's north
On the fifties of the XXth Century a new demographic growth occured when many peoples from the Andes Region and Jungle came to Lima increasing its populations From 500 thousand to a millon of people more or less.
Now on 2009 we are more than 4 million people that is more or less the 30% of the Peru's people.
---------------------
"Tourist attractions"
About its tourist place we have the Lima's downtown with seven churches that as Baroque architecture style, and a Cathedral that a Spanish friend told me that I seen as Seville Cathedral, and many Spanish conqueror's house that some if them are public office or ministers for example The Torre Tagle is a Foreign Relationship Ministery.
On the Lima's south we have many modern buildings and modern places as Miraflores, San Isidro for example that are modern place in Lima and having many museum that talk about The Incas and times before incas.
If you like parks or something else I recommend "Parque de la Reserva" or the diferrent parks in Miraflores near the Pacific Ocean on high part of "Costa Verde" that is a cliff with more or less 400 metres high (400 yds)
Weather of the city
In Lima have a terrible weather with a more or less 70 or 80% humid with few raining time on the normal case all of it because Lima is near the sea and this sea influences on the weather, being this sea cold because it comes from the South Pole in normal case, because when there are "Fenomeno del Nino" (I don't know exactly the English name of this weater phenomenon) when the hot water that comes from the Equator are in Lima, the weather is hotter and having more rains etc.
In Lima the thermometre is more or less 24 to 28º C (75ºF to 82.4ºF) on summer and on the winter is more or less 12ªC to 18ºC (53.6ºF to 64.4ºF)
---------
There's something of my city that I describe lines up and I hope You will visit my hometown Lima some day, that I'd rather do comments about my city
