What were my reasons for buying this product? Simple - I wanted to be blonde. I had gorgeous honey blonde hair as a child that throughout my awkward teenage years had slowly developed to a dull, medium toned nothing brown colour. It was so uninteresting I always felt I faded into the background compared to my firends whose hair ranged from golden blonde to rich auburn or even luscious strawberry tones. I felt it made me look younger and washed out against my pale skin and desperately wanted a change. But what held me back was the price of going blonde. I had subtle highlights, once, when I was around 13 or 14 but these were a gift from my parents who knew how much I hated my hair yet disapproved of hair dye at that age.
