Liquid attracts many DJ'S such as spoony and Judge Jools and Thursday nights there are a must if you like RnB and Garage.
Liquid is very very cool although the quite small size of it can be a pain, as well as it being down lots of stairs which aren't too good when you are drunk. I also found the round dancefloor hardwork because on amy occasions i've gone round in circles trying to find the exit, but I think ... more

Whenever I visit Liquid there is always a huge queue to get in, proving that Liquid has gained many fans and is the premmier night club in central Cardiff.
Liquid still looks as new as when it was first built and everyone i've ever talked to about it stresses how fantastic the interior design is. Cold air blows from fans and the walls are covered in lava lamps and projected lava lamps on every wall and ceiling.
There are three main parts to the club. Before you enter the dancefloor there is a chilling out part with lots of chairs where you can buy food and get a membership card but I always find this extremely busy. There is a main dancefloor which is round and not that big so you always have to squeeze passed everyone to even get to the bars which are situated around the edges of the circle and dancefloor. There is also a balcony and bar up some stairs off the dancefloor which is usually the best place to find friends and look at the talent. However, this is not always opened, usually opening for the last few hours.
Like all clubs there are the usual drinks promotions and student night is very popular which is on a monday night. It is quite expensive to get in around £3-£4 on an average night although there are discounts.

...opened in the summer, yet Liquid has already become one of the most popular clubs in Cardiff, regularly packed out Wednesday night through to Saturday. Wednesdays and Thursdays play chart and R'N'B respectively, offer £2 - £3 entry and all drinks are priced at a reasonable £2. (used to be £1.50 but they put ut up)
Fridays and Saturdays are more dance orientated, with Glaxy 101 DJs appearing on regular Saturday nights.
The club itself is brilliant, ... ...not a pill in site.
If top DJ's and proper clubbing is what you're after then Liquid isn't for you, but if you simply want a fun night out with your mates, then look no further.
Also check out its sister Bar, Bar Life situated right next door. ...

Advantages: would have to think very hard to find one Disadvantages: a waste of time really unless you like standing out in all weather for no reason which they make you do. i mean they have to look like they have a queue dont they
Liquid is on St Marys st, which opened up last summer. Supposed to be this great new club it is diappointimg as the place is tiny, with all the wall white and a lazer putting pictures on it.Thats fine at first but it really does hurt your eyes and when drinking you dont want to be looking at something moving around all the time.It seem that s all that it has going for itself.
When it first opened they had a habit of holding the queue outside for ... ...to be, the novelty of it soon weared off. It seemed that they thought a long queue would make people think, oh theres a queue so that must be a good place to go. Dont they realise they are waiting there for nothing. Why keep paying customers outside, it beats me. Any normal club would have them in buying drinks.
This club seems to let anyone in. I have seen people who are definetly underage and look it to being let in. They really do need to start ...

...clubs in the city centre, Liquid is very rarely anything other than full to the brim of young people out to have a good time and get bladdered in the process.
Drinks range from £2 each on wednesday to £2.80 on a saturday so its probably worth you having a few before you come in.
Wednesdays offer pure chart music sure to have you dancing drunkenly to the latest S-Club 7 track, while thursdays offer R+B and Garage music.
Saturdays are more clubtastic ...

Liquid nightclub recently opened on St.Mary street. Also an accompanying bar Life opened at the same time next door. It is situated in a popular night area of Cardiff near bars such as The Square, K2 and Oz Bar. Drinkers leaving these bars form a large queue each Friday and Saturday night to enter the club. The music policy is dance on a Friday and Saturday with DJ's from Galaxy 101 playing. Wednesday and Thursday are student nights with drinks promotions. ...

Advantages: Short queues, nice location, near to good pizza shops. Disadvantages: Musicak.
It is that time of the year. The decorations are out, the shops are geared up for maximum exploitation, the quality of programs on the television starts to fluctuate widely, there is some sort of religious celebration and you are given the chance to make a fool out of yourself in front of the entire office.
They kept on filling my glass up and so the only natural thing to do was get outrageously drunk. It was not my fault; it was theirs. I was going to list all the stupid things I found myself doing and then note that none of them were bad enough to sober me up or bring me to the conclusion that it was time to go home. I am not going to do that, let?s not embarrass myself any further, however, I am still going to maintain that it was the unpleasant shock of finding in the Liquid Room that helped the penny drop.
With hindsight there ...

In our hometown of Ashford, there aren’t many places to go clubbing. Ok, in Ashford, there is ONE place to go clubbing at present. There is a new club opening in September but given the previous short-lived attempts at using that particular building as a nightclub, I doubt much will come of it. Sooo, Liquid, our one existing nightclub is the one I’ll be telling you about here.
Liquid is part of a chain, owned by the Luminar group. There are branches all over the place, although the only other one I have been to is in Windsor, Berkshire. A quick peek at the website tells me that there are further branches in the following towns as well.

Blackburn
Cardiff
Gloucester
Hanley
Harlow
Ipswich
