Modern Hotel with Old World Service
Review of Villa Rica Hotel, Lisbon by dortrek

Advantages: Wonderful Hotel and Food/Service; close to trains and busses, smoking rooms available
Disadvantages: Difficult to find from Airport

...We stayed at the Villa Rica Lisboa Hotel in Portugal about 2 weeks ago. It is a lovely, modern hotel near the center of busy Lisbon (if you can find a real center in that large, sprawling city!). ...to find again. But once we found it, we discovered that we were only around the corner from the underground train station..which is very cheap and very efficient. PARKING Luckily there is a free, very clean and well-lighted underground parking structure, which you enter directly next to the front door of the hotel. Hotel Borges -excellent for the price
Review of Hotel Borges, Lisbon by casadacha

Advantages: Location in excellent
Disadvantages: breakfast - don't bother, go to a cafe

The breakfast was very basic - just a bread roll or a croissant and coffee from a machine ...
...many nearby cafes. The hotel has lifts which are old fashioned but much better than struggling up stairs with your luggage which is often what you get at this price range. The staff were friendly enough. Don't expect to have a quiet night's sleep though as when we were there there were buskers outside until the early hours. But great if you're having a night out - there are lots of people around at night and it feels very safe. ... Read review

The Red Coats!
Review of Real Parque Hotel, Lisbon by jo145

Advantages: Easy to get into the centre, but quiet.
Disadvantages: No swimming pool or outside area to relax.

...Our choice was the Real Parque., described as being comfortable and well located in a small residential area and also conveniently close to the heart of the City.A 4 star hotel. Two minutes walk will take a guest to the renowned Store "Corte Inglesa", which is beside the underground and the Eduardo VII Park and its "Estufa Fria" (Biological Gardens). A further ten minutes walk will bring the visitor to the fascinating collections to be found in the ...
