A weekend break in Lisbon is full of good food, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful wine. I would definitely recommend Lisbon as a weekend break. GO offer cheap flights from Stansted airport to Lisbon. We stayed in the Baixa the old part of the city - beautiful. The people were very friendly and warm. The Baixa has great atmosphere and from here navigation around the capital is very easy with trams and buses close buy. I felt very safe walking around Lisbon at night. Its a very friendly and warm city. The architecture and ambience is great.
